LET THOSE WHO RIDE DECIDE

The United Bikers of Maine (UBM) is a motorcycle rights organization dedicated to all motorcyclists regardless of the brand of motorcycle they ride. The UBM is made up on many different people who share one common thread that ties us together, we r

ide and love motorcycles. We have a voice in the decisions that are made regarding motorcycling, not only in Maine but also at the federal level in Washington D.C. UBM stands for ensuring your rights as a motorcyclist by fighting “anti-motorcycle” legislation and promoting “fair” motorcycle legislation. Along with the Maine Motorcycle Political Action Committee (MMPAC) we are the only groups in the state that defend your rights during Legislative sessions. UBM does not advocate that you ride without a helmet, only that you have the right to make that decision for yourself. Although many people do not realize it, Maine does have and existing helmet law that requires operators with a learner’s permit, operators/passengers under the age of 18 and first year operators to wear a helmet. UBM encourages the participation and enforcement of this law.
