Big Thanks to Maine Community Bank and Sappi North America for sponsoring tonight’s meal and providing volunteers to help cook and serve the meals tonight! A delicious meal of glazed baked ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans was served with a starter salad, applesauce, and assorted bakery items. Over 140 meals were served! We appreciate the hard work of all the S**o Meals Program volunteers that are the heart of this program!!

Thanks to Lighthouse Credit Union for sponsoring last night’s meal and for Thornton Academy Alumni House for cooking up their signature American Chop Suey! The meal included a fresh salad and Dorothy’s home-made banana-choc chip cake for dessert! The hall was packed with guests all enjoying our free community meal and lots of fellowship and socialization! Great to be a part of such a wonderful community of volunteers and business partners!

Thanks to tonight’s meal sponsors Rotary Club of S**o Bay - #26791 and Rotary Club of Biddeford-S**o! With the help of our volunteers and a team from the Rotary clubs we were able to serve over 150 meals! Each guest was served baked BBQ chicken thighs, Mac n cheese, green beans, salad, and for dessert assorted bakery muffins. Thanks to all the volunteers that helped to prepare and serve the meal, help set up, and help to clean up!!

Big thanks to tonight’s meal sponsors Trinity Episcopal Church and PeoplesChoice Credit Union. Our volunteer cooks Joel and Wendy with the help of a team of volunteers from Trinity prepared a delicious vegetable lasagna which was served with a salad and pecan pie for dessert. We are very grateful for all the volunteers that helped today with our morning deliveries, prepping the meal, setting up, serving, and cleaning up the hall!

The S**o Meals Program is so grateful for WEX for being a premiere sponsor and supporter of our mission to address food insecurity and social isolation. At tonight’s meal, a team of WEXers led by Sandy Kuohn, HR/Chief People Officer volunteered and helped to serve a full hall. Big thanks to KofC 12941 for preparing a meal of Salisbury steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, and glazed carrots. A salad was the starter and dessert was strawberry/blueberry shortcake with whipped cream! Thanks to all the volunteers that helped prep, setup and cleanup the hall.

Big shout out of THANKS to Union Church, BP, Maine for sponsoring tonight’s meal, helping to prepare & cook, and helping to serve a hall full of guests. Over 130 guests and volunteers enjoyed a delicious meal of salad, meatloaf with mushroom gravy, home-made red potato salad, veggies, and assorted desserts. Thanks to all the volunteers that helped with our morning deliveries that filled the giving table and those that helped set up the hall, serve, and cleanup!! A wonderful team effort!!

Thanks to tonight’s meal sponsors Atlantic Federal Credit Union and Ready Seafood for their support!! Our cook Chris M teamed up with volunteers Meagan and Tom to prepare a delicious meal of Baked Chicken Caprese, mashed potatoes, and roasted zucchini. A salad was prepared as a starter and chocolate cake and assorted pastries were served as dessert!! A great meal!! Over 130 portions were prepared!! We love having volunteers share the meal service event with their children!!

From August 10 through August 28, we're accepting donations to help provide nutritious food and snacks for local children and families as they prepare for the new school year.

We're collecting:

Packaged snacks
Rice & beans
Pasta & sauce
Peanut butter & jelly

Please donate unopened, non-expired items. Smaller package sizes are especially helpful, and please avoid glass jars.

Donations can be dropped off at our office during the collection period. Together, we can help ensure local kids have access to the food they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Thanks to our meal sponsors S**o and Biddeford Savings and Antiques USA for our annual Summer Pizza Night. A team from S**o-Bidd helped to prepare a garden salad and plate the pizza. Over 35 large cheese pizzas were served tonight!! Always a guest favorite! Ice Cream Sandwiches were served for dessert! Thanks to all the volunteers!
