Youth Football and Cheer in Royse City, Texas! Its ALWAYS a Great Day To Be a Bulldog!!! 🖤💛🐶

New season - same goals. The transition from flag to tackle is always one that comes with unique challenges. It starts with learning how to put on pads and strap up helmets. Getting comfortable with simply falling to the ground. Learning how to wrap up and be the hammer, not the nail. At the end of the day though, the principles are the same. The group of boys that play like a team, play with discipline, and give 100% effort 100% of the time, will be the one that comes out on top each Saturday. Flag football for this group ended 5 yards away from the ultimate goal. Tackle football begins with the same ultimate goal in mind. As the post season begins, we take all of the new fundamentals we’ve learned, and add it to the same principles that we’ve applied for multiple seasons to achieve our ultimate goal of coming out on top. This group of boys have worked hard all season long to take that final step and we couldn’t be more excited to watch it unfold.

Boys, I believe sports are a symbolic piece of life. Life requires teamwork, discipline, resilience, respect, compassion, and character and that’s what this group brings.

You are a special group the (DAWG) DISCIPLINE, ATTITUDE, WILL, GRIT that you bring every day is a true testament that with hard work and determination nothing is ever out of reach. Everyone has a part to play and you hold each other accountable. When we struggle, you’re there to pick each other up when we succeed, you’re there to celebrate together. That’s what family and brotherhood are all about. That’s what makes champions.

Boys, always remember this: It’s not about being the biggest, the fastest, or the strongest. It’s about being the toughest, working the hardest, and never quitting on the guy standing next to you.
We will win some games, and we will lose some games. What matters is how we respond, how we treat each other, and how hard we are willing to work when nobody is watching.
When one of us falls, we pick him up. When one of us struggles, we encourage him. When things get tough, we get tougher. We don't make excuses, we don't point fingers, and we never leave a teammate behind.
You are more than a football team. You are brothers. Every practice, every rep, every game is an opportunity to become better players and better young men.
WEAR THE BLACK AND GOLD WITH PRIDE. PLAY WITH HEART. FIGHT FOR EACH OTHER. FINISH WHAT YOU START.

So sorry for the delay, we’ve had a “cheer hangover” 🤪

3rd/4th - 3rd 🥉
5th/6th - 2nd 🥈

We are so proud of our cheerleaders and coaches for all of the hard work they have been putting in since July! Thank you to all of our hard working competitors for bringing their all to the mat!

Special thanks to all RCYSDL Board Members, their families, and last minute volunteers who literally saved the day. Hosting an event on this scale is not for the weak…The day would not have been a success without you!!

Spotlight on Football! 🏈
We are featuring our teams headed to playoffs this week, starting with Prek/K!

We may be the youngest and smallest to step on the field, but these boys play with BIG hearts! They have worked hard, learned together, grown together, and have become a team that will never give up. The wins are fun, but the friendships, teamwork, and memories we have all made will last forever.

We are the bulldogs!!
