We are needing moving supplies for a disabled veteran who is moving back home to be with family. Things like moving boxes, bubble wrap, tape etc would be a huge help at this time. If you have any of these items and would like to donate please PM us and we will arrange pick up or drop off. Thank you guys in advance

We love when we get updates!!!

Back in the freeze some if our members spent a few days getting as many people into hotel rooms and out of the deadly cold weather as they could. On feb 14th we got a call that there was a gentleman who needed our help, he was picked up by James and checked into the hotel here in town, thanks to the donations we recieved from the Medlock family he was able to stay for the entire cold snap. He left on his way and we hadnt seen or heard from him since, until yesterday! He called from a out of state number and wanted to thank the Homeless initiative and the Medlock family for saving his life! With some encouragement from James he decided to contact his mom, who bought him a bus ticket home, he is sober, has a full time job and about to move into an apartment of his own!!! He said over and over again " I would be dead if yall didnt come when you did, I owe you my life". Stories like this is why we do what we do, we couldn't do it at all with our our precious donors! We are Sharing this with his permission and to recognize those who played a huge role in helping this gentleman! God bless each of you!
