We’re rapidly approaching the time to plant our fall veggies: short maturity spring crops, plus fall
broccoli, cauliflower, cabbages, greens like spinach, lettuce, and kale, and lots of other veggies.

It’s almost harvest time, and our gardens are showing off their early Fall treasures! 🌱
So tell us — which veggie do YOU love more this season?

🍅 Tomatoes – Juicy, versatile, and perfect for soups, sauces, and salsas. They bring a burst of late-summer sunshine into fall.
🥒 Cucumbers – Crisp, refreshing, and still thriving as the days cool. Great for pickling, salads, and snacking fresh from the vine.

💡 Garden Tip of the Day: As temperatures drop, keep an eye out for pests moving in. Mulching around plants can help regulate soil temperature and protect roots from chilly nights.

Cast your vote below 👇 — are you Team Tomato 🍅 or Team Cucumber 🥒 this Fall?

Our community garden thrives because of YOU! 💚 As we head into the early Fall harvest, we’re looking for a few extra hands to help keep things growing strong.

Here’s where we need the most help right now:
🌿 Maintaining our pantry beds (helping us feed the community!)
🌱 Mowing the grass
🌾 W**d eating around the beds
🐞 Light pest control

Whether you can give an hour, a morning, or a whole afternoon, your time makes a difference. 🌟 Bring a hat, gloves, and your community spirit — we’ll provide the tools and the smiles.

📅 Drop a comment or message us if you’d like to volunteer. Together, we can keep Unity Park Community Garden flourishing for everyone! 🌻

My 7 year old granddaughter with the 38 1/2 inch long zucchini rampicante squash she grew at Unity Park Community Garden. Pop Pop had a wrist surgery, so she did most of the planting and some watering for me. She was so proud of the results of her efforts!

Some much work has been done and more yet to come! Thanks to everyone who came out to this successful workday!
