A Polish startup just made history — and almost nobody is talking about it. 🇵🇱🚄

Nevomo, a Polish hyperloop and magnetic levitation company, has successfully tested the world's first MagRail system on existing conventional railway tracks — no new infrastructure required.

Traditional maglev trains (like Japan's Shinkansen or China's Shanghai Maglev) require entirely new, purpose-built tracks costing billions. Nevomo's breakthrough allows magnetic levitation on tracks that already exist — potentially transforming Europe's existing 220,000km rail network into a high-speed maglev system.

In tests, the system reached speeds of 135 km/h on a 120-meter test track in France. The target commercial speed is 550 km/h — faster than any existing train in Europe.

The company is based in Kraków and Warsaw. It has raised over €20 million in funding. It is working with European rail operators on commercial deployment.

Poland is building the future of transportation. 🚀

Today, Thursday, June 4, is Corpus Christi — Boże Ciało — one of Poland's most sacred and visually stunning public holidays.

Every year, Polish communities spend days hand-crafting elaborate flower petal carpets on their streets — intricate patterns made from thousands of petals, greenery, and sand. The procession then walks over them in prayer.

Beautiful, huge Eucharistic Processions are occurring throughout the entire country of Poland after the special Masses for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi

The Catholic Church in Poland has celebrated Corpus Christi since 1247.

In the village of Spycimierz near Łódź, the tradition of flower carpets is 200 years old — and in 2021, UNESCO added it to the Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The carpet stretches almost 1 kilometer through the village.

This tradition has survived wars, partitions, and communism. It's still here.

Wishing you a blessed Solemnity of Boże Ciało - Corpus Christi !

Europe has a forest that has stood untouched since the Ice Age.

Białowieża Forest, straddling the border of Poland and Belarus, is the continent's last remaining primeval woodland. This ancient ecosystem has witnessed millennia of history, preserving its unique biodiversity.

It's a sanctuary for the European bison, the continent's heaviest land animal. Once hunted to near extinction, the species was reintroduced here in the 1920s. Today, over 900 of these magnificent creatures roam freely within Białowieża, a testament to dedicated conservation efforts.

This forest isn't just old; it's a living museum, a window into Europe's prehistoric past.

Did you know such a place still existed? 🇵🇱 🌳

***Poland in 14 Days: Map-Based Itinerary***

Poland offers one of Europe’s most underrated multi-city journeys, blending medieval cities, mountain scenery and Baltic coast charm.

This 14-day route moves from Warsaw to Toruń, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Kraków and Zakopane, balancing historic centers with nature and regional variety. It moves from royal capitals and old town squares to Baltic waterfronts and finally the Tatras.

What makes this itinerary stand out is the contrast. One stop can be Hanseatic architecture and seaside history in Gdańsk, the next mountain trails in Zakopane or café-lined squares in Kraków. It feels far more diverse than many travelers expect.
