Meet Amelia, a Placer County high school student who believes every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen—especially children and teens experiencing foster care.

Today is International Youth Day, and we’re celebrating the power young people have to create meaningful change in their communities. 💙

This spring, Amelia created a Big Day of Giving team that collectively raised $3,050 for CASA. She also collected brand-new items to stock our CASA Store, a place where CASA volunteers and the children and teens they serve can shop for clothing, hygiene products, books, toys, birthday gifts, and other essentials.

As Amelia shared, “I believe every child deserves safety and stability, especially during difficult times like being placed in foster care.”

On International Youth Day, we’re proud to celebrate Amelia for using her voice, compassion, and generosity to remind children and teens in our community that they are seen, supported, and matter.
