Next week's Mohawk Valley Bluegrass Association Jam with the Band features Last Minute Bluegrass!

Last Minute Bluegrass isn’t just another bluegrass band—they are a living celebration of all forms of American roots music. They remind us that great songs, whether born in the roots of Fiddle and Banjo music, or Classic Rock, take a new life with the Bluegrass Sound. From Flatt and Scruggs to the Grateful Dead you can expect a lively show with some new takes on classic numbers.

The concert will start at 6:30 PM followed by a Bluegrass jam session where anyone who plays acoustic Bluegrass instruments can join in, so bring your instruments!
$5 Donation at the door, Drinks available for a donation.

Our hearts are a little heavier today upon hearing of the passing of one of the most influential songwriters and vocalists in modern bluegrass music, Ronnie Bowman. If you have time today, put on “Cold Virginia Night,” or one of the many Lonesome River Band albums he was featured on as a band member, or perhaps his collaborative album with Wyatt Rice “Picture in a Tear,” or anything else from the vast discography he left behind. In doing so you will hear a songwriting and vocal sound that so many in bluegrass try to imitate and so few succeed at. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Bowman’s family. So long Ronnie, thanks for everything.
