Great job to our Entire Team of Volunteers, Staff, Board Members - The City of Rome, NY, Rome City School District- Rome, New York, Rome Alliance for Education, Safe Schools Mohawk Valley CNY Health Home Network, Inc. Compassion Coalition, Inc. and MANY More! This is certainly not over yet and the need rises- but we will be there to meet those needs!

Students will study chemistry within a Harry Potter Potions series. In class one we will travel to Diagon Alley to learn about Potions/lab equipment, ingredients, potions safety, and experiment with invisible ink from Weasleys Wizard Wheezes!

The RAE board is overwhelmed with gratitude and humbled by the outpouring of generosity, kindness, compassion that all of the volunteers have shown in the last week, especially. With the quick response of our Eexecutive Director Melissa Roys, and her Connected Schools Partners, Mohawk Valley Safe Schools and CNY Health Homes, we have been able to organize and distribute food and supplies to over 1,000 of our families. We can't thank everyone enough for the amazing job they have done creating a smooth transition into emergency mode to support the needs of our families. Our Community has come together through donations and volunteering their time.

Many businesses have donated food, Rome teachers and community members have been out in full force volunteering and bring donations. Mark Shilling and Compassion Coalition continue to overwhelm us with their generosity and giving spirit. There are so many people to thank, I am sure we missed someone...Thank You! The RAE and the families we are assisting are eternally grateful and very proud of how our community steps up to help in times of need.
