As you may have seen, New York City Emergency Management (NYCEM) has issued a Freeze Warning for all five boroughs, in effect from 1 AM to 9 AM on Tuesday, and the NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) has declared a Code Blue Weather Emergency.
Sub-freezing temperatures between 30°F and 32°F are expected overnight, with wind chills making it feel even colder. Conditions will improve gradually after sunrise, but temperatures will remain below seasonal averages throughout the day.
NYCEM has included pets in their messaging, reminding people to bring animals indoors overnight.

Thank you to everyone who registered, attended, and supported the 4th Annual Rockaway Dog Parade!
It was so great to see all the rrrock stars!
Congratulations to all costume winners and raffle prize winners. We hope you enjoy your prizes!
We also want to thanks the judges, sponsors, grand marshall, and organizer Dana Humphrey for making the parade possible.
Through your support, we raised $621, which will go towards updates to Shorefront Dog Run.
What will those updates be?
In the next couple of weeks, we'll be putting out a list of items for everyone to vote on.
Keep checking our page for updates.
We hope to see you at the park and next year's parade!

Shorefront Dog Run is now a bit cleaner and has some new stuff. Today, we put plaques up reminding people to keep the gates closed, put bags in the bag stations, raked the sand in the park, and picked up trash. In addition to about 50 scoops of p**p, we also cleaned up over 75 cigarette butts! Thanks to Sylvia, and our friends from Parks: Khalil, Cesar, Imani, and Tony!
