207 Noel Road, 1930’s

On the left is Jack Goelzenleuchter better known as Captain Jack, the owner of the home. The person on the right is unidentified but may be a McQuaid. Subsequent owners include Dr. Delmar, the town physician in the 1950’s, Michael and Thomasina Kinneary, Jack & Thomasina Ogden. This photo was passed down from Captain Jack to Jack Reich to Stanley Reich.

1987 A Sandbar Party for the record books!

Charlie Howard Jr. ran a 4th of July Sandbar party. He made a raft and brought out portable toilets, hired Vinny O’Hare to DJ, hired his younger brother Kenny Howard & his friends to help transport people. His friends helped supply the food for the BBQ, ice and drinks. A few parents from St. Virgilius came out to lend a hand. It was $20.00 per person. It was a Sand Bar party that people still talk about.

All the proceeds went to Father Martin for St. Virgilius School.
