Our Sunday 7 o'clock kitty is Richie!

Richie - aka The Muffin Man - is a 3-year-old sweetheart with a signature move: He’s always making air biscuits. It’s how he earned his nickname, and honestly, he takes his baking duties very seriously. 🧁

We believe Richie was once someone’s pet before being left behind at a home that feeds local strays. Despite everything, he proved just how brave he is - making do in outdoor shelters and watching from the sidelines… until one day he saw his chance and ran straight inside to safety.

Richie is still a sensitive guy and tends to hide at first, but the moment you sit with him, he melts into affection. He loves gentle pets, quiet companionship, and hearing what a brave boy he is (which he absolutely is). At the vet, he was a total champ - purring through bloodwork like it was no big deal.

Now that he’s back indoors, Richie is rediscovering the good life and slowly getting his groove back. He’d do best in a calm, low-key home where he can build confidence at his own pace. He’s been non-reactive around kids and dogs but prefers they keep things mellow - too much activity sends him back into his shell. He gets along well with other cats and would be happy with a feline friend. 😻

If you’re looking for a gentle, biscuit-making companion who just needs a little patience and a lot of love, Richie is ready to be your Muffin Man!

Meet Richie in person at The Scratching Post Cat Cafe! 💙

Our Saturday 7 o'clock kitty is 4-year-old Lou Lou! 🖤

Lou Lou (aka Looney Toons) is a very beautiful tuxedo (check out that mustache) who was trapped as a stray in the city in November 2025. When found, it took some time for her to learn to trust humans again. Once she did, she became a friendly and chatty girl. 😻

Her favorite toy is the feather wand - she will flip and jump around to catch it. She also enjoys getting treats out of a puzzle feeder or "sitting" for a treat. One of her other favorite things is to watch Cat TV on YouTube.

After some life as a stray, Lou Lou does have some boundaries. She is all about patience, and humans who will give her time to adjust and not rush into anything. She can get a little over stimulated if pet too much. Once you get to know her, you'll recognize "the look" she gives when she's about to get annoyed. 😾

Lou Lou would do best in an adult-only home. She does interact with the male cat in her foster home at times. An older, calm cat who minds their own business may be a good fit. Lou Lou is not fond of dogs, but is sort of getting used to the ones in her foster home.

If you have the right home for this adorable and quirky girl, who has just a little bit of baggage, apply to adopt her today!

Meet Zach & Jena 🩷💙 This super sweet senior duo is upbeat, easygoing, and simply lovely to be around. They’re well-mannered, happy-go-lucky, and wonderfully undemanding.

Jena & Zach are bonded 10-year-old siblings believed to be Shih-poos or Cockapoos - although without a DNA test, that’s just our best guess!

When they arrived, they were a combined 17 pounds overweight - a significant amount for their small frames. Thanks to proper diet and exercise, they’ve already lost 10 pounds, and with every pound gone, they’ve gained so much life back. Their joy has blossomed as they’ve regained the ability to enjoy walks, belly rubs, and even jump for excitement when we come home - all things they struggled to do before.

They’re sweet, quiet, and happiest lounging together in a big cozy bed.
💙 Zach enjoys chewing bones that are way too big for him.
🩷 Jena is a professional stuffy & squeaker toy assassin. (you better get a Barkbox subscription!)

They LOVE their daily walks and can barely contain their joy when the leashes come out!

🐾 Housetrained (not a single accident in foster care)
🐾 Fully vetted
🐾 Dog friendly - they prefer calm, quiet dogs
🐾 Good with calm, respectful kids
🐾 Cats unknown, though honestly, they’re not chasing anything these days

These sweet seniors are looking for a forever family who will continue supporting their health and wellness journey. A home with minimal stairs would be ideal for their continued success.

Do you have the perfect home to give Zach & Jena the retirement life they deserve? Applying is the first step to meeting them - graspinc.org/adopt

Did you know we have a dedicated TNVR (trap, neuter/spay, vaccinate, release) program? Last year we spayed and neutered more than 150 feral community cats!

We have an incredible volunteer that manages this program who spends her days and nights -in every kind of weather- working through a list of requests that grows faster than we can cross them off.

With local programs severely cutting appointments for feral cats and many vets not willing to work with feral cats, we are now traveling outside Monroe county to work with some vets that will. As you can imagine, the costs add up, especially with gas prices right now! These are cats that we won’t get an adoption fee for so we pay for these appointments with the help of our supports- every penny has to be raised.

The TNVR volunteer keeps the feral cats in XL dog crates, caring for them morning and night, making sure they are ready for their appointments when we get them. Then she monitors their recovery before working with the neighbors in the area that cat was found to ensure it will be fed and cared for after being returned to the area.

With our TNVR program expanding with each feral mama cat having kittens under someone’s porch, we need your help!

🚨𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲:
Wet cat food
Dry cat food
Humane traps
P*e pads
XL dog crates
Hard-sided cat carriers

If you’re able to help, here is our TNR wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/J4Y4EO3K5DQM?ref_=wl_share

If you have some of these supplies sitting in your basement or garage, we are very willing to give them a new home!

Our Friday 7 o'clock feature is a new bonded pair of siblings, introducing Chippy and P Willow! 🧡💜

Chippy (orange) and P Willow (gray) are a bonded pair of 2-year-old siblings looking for their forever home. Chippy is the more outgoing one, whereas Willow will be shy until she feels comfortable with you. But both are super sweet, affectionate cats, and great cuddle buddies. They both enjoy playing and mealtime.

Chippy loves his head kissed, and both babies love head butts. They are a fabulous pair of companions. 😻😻

It is unknown how they would react to other cats, dogs, or children. However, given their temperaments, they might be shy at first, but would probably be fine with proper introductions.

Apply to adopt this adorable pair today!

Our Friday 12 o'clock kitty is 1-year-old Warrior! 🧡

* Mention this post and save $20 off his adoption fee! *

Warrior is a big sweet teddy bear in a large orange tabby body. If you’re looking for an affectionate companion, look no further! Warrior loves nothing more than to be close to his human and get lots of scratches and belly rubs. He even enjoys being brushed. He is a huge fan of Churu and canned food. His favorite toy is a wand toy.

Warrior is a gentle soul looking for a patient adopter who understands that he may need some time to adjust to a new environment, but once he’s comfortable, he’ll be a loyal friend.

Warrior gets along with other friendly, gentle cats with a proper introduction. He would do best in a quieter home without dogs or small children. From his previous time spent outside, Warrior is FIV positive.

If you have the right home for this handsome boy, apply to adopt him today!

✨ Meet Milton: Tiny Gentleman, Major Main Character Energy ✨

At just 4–5 pounds, 10-year-old Milton is proof that the best things really do come in very tiny packages. This little gentleman came to us from Irondequoit Animal Control and immediately settled into the role of professional cuddle companion.

Milton recently had his neuter and dental done, and now that he’s feeling fresh and fancy, he’s officially ready to find his forever home. His glow-up era is fully underway. ✨

Don’t let the tiny size fool you — Milton has big opinions about comfort. He loves walks, soft blankets, warm laps, and being as close to his people as physically possible at all times. If you sit down, expect a tiny shadow to appear beside you within seconds.

He’s house trained, sweet as can be, and while he can be a little cautious when meeting new people, he warms up quickly once he realizes you come bearing kindness (and maybe snacks). Milton is dog tolerant, but truthfully? He’d probably love being the center of someone’s universe as the only pup in the home.

Milton isn’t looking for chaos or adventure — he’s looking for cozy mornings, gentle companionship, and someone who understands that senior dogs are pure magic.

Tiny dog. Big heart. Excellent roommate potential. 10/10 lap warmer. 💕

Our Thursday 7 o'clock kitty is 1-year-old Xena!

Meet Xena — once all warrior, no princess. 🗡️👑

When she first came to us, Xena lived up to her name: fierce, independent, and always ready for battle. But beneath that tough exterior was a softer side just waiting to come out.

Now? She’s a total lovebug. She leans into pets, seeks out affection, and has discovered that being adored might actually be her favorite thing. 😍

Don’t be fooled, though — that wild warrior spirit is still in there. She’s playful, a little mischievous, and always keeps life interesting.

Xena is the perfect mix of sass and sweetness, and she’s ready to rule her forever home! 😻

Meet Benito - he's a super happy, silly guy with a big goofy grin and is always ready for affection!

He's 12 lbs, probably 2-3 years old, and perhaps he's a Pom-Chi.

Benito makes us smile every day with his silly antics and his sweet affection. He's got 2 speeds - ping-pong ball bouncing happily around the room & cuddly love bug falling asleep in your lap.

He loves to race around the yard with his foster brother, but he doesn't like to roughhouse. He's a lover and prefers quiet time together over rowdy horseplay.

Here's some things that Benito is working on

🐾 Leash Training - it seems he's never been on a leash before and he thinks you're trying to strangle him with it. He still needs to gain some trust with the leash before we'll try taking him for a walk.

🐾 House breaking - he's 99% there but still wears a diaper to prevent him from marking in the house. We expect this behavior to stop fully once he's neutered.

🐾 He's very smart and an excellent rule follower. He'll do what you want if you're clear and confident with your communication... and if you understand that sometimes he just has ants in his pants and can't contain himself even though he's trying! 🐜🤣

We think Benito would thrive in a home with

💙 other calm, confident dogs
💙 calm, confident humans (young kids are probably too unpredictable for him)
💙 a fully fenced yard (cuz he's just not ready for a leash yet)

Benito has all his vaccinations and will be neutered before he is "officially" adopted, but that won't prevent him from joining your family now while he waits for that appointment.

Does Benito sound like the perfect match for your home? Applying is the first step to meet him - graspinc.org/adopt
