We are so excited to be kicking off the new era of Kesem Magic by providing more year-round, in person programming for families in and around our community. Through field trips, monthly meet-ups, or full day programs we aim to serve kids ages 6-18 who have lost a parent to cancer, have a parent undergoing cancer treatment, or a parent that is a cancer survivor.

Kesem Gatherings [BETA]: Local monthly get-togethers for kids ages 6-18 who have lost a parent to cancer, have a parent undergoing cancer treatment, or a parent that is a cancer survivor.

Description: Camp Kesem's mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with innovative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community. A program of Kesem, Camp Kesem operates over 100 free summer camps in 40 states for children ages 6 to 18 who have been impacted by a parent’s cancer. Kesem programs have a lasting impact on children by providing them a peer-support network that understands their unique needs, builds confidence and strengthens their communication skills. In 2018, Camp Kesem served over 8,900 children coast-to-coast - all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners.

Camp Kesem at UC Riverside was founded in 2020 and supports children in the Inland Empire community by providing a free week-long summer camp experience and year-round peer support. Camp Kesem at UC Riverside is operated by 25 student volunteers and serves 20 campers ages 6-18 per year.

Camp Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We appreciate your donations and fundraising. Please note that while fundraising through Facebook supports our cause on a national level, these gifts cannot be designated directly to our chapter at this time.
