We are a peer support group built around friendship, inclusion, and guidance into adulthood sponsored by the Effingham County Navigator Team.

We invite people to join us from surrounding Counties. Our mission is to provide young adults with diagnosis of intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism or any other young adult who would like to join a safe place to transition into adulthood. Our goal is to provide our members with friendship, self-advocacy skills, inclusive recreational activities, while gaining confidence and independence outside of their home unit.

PEATC has two new resources to help families navigate SSI, SSDI, and Disabled Adult Child (DAC) benefits. Learn about eligibility, income requirements, health coverage, and how these benefits work together to support individuals with disabilities as they transition into adulthood.

This week is about making sure people with disabilities have the information, access, and opportunity to participate fully in our democracy.
