❤️ WONDER PUP UPDATE ❤️

Wonder Pup arrived from a California shelter in May 2024 at just 14 weeks old, after being hit by a car and suffering fractures in both back legs. She underwent multiple surgeries, and a generous Good Samaritan covered her initial care.

She came to Creature Keeper Farm & Sanctuary to heal and eventually be adopted.

That was the plan… 😹

But Wonder had other ideas.

We fell completely in love with her—and so did everyone who meets her. ❤️ She officially became part of the Creature Keeper family.

Over the past two years, she’s worked incredibly hard through rehabilitation and water therapy at Splash Canine Hydrotherapy making an amazing recovery.💦

Recently, however, two surgical pins began working their way out of her leg and had to be removed. This meant another surgery, over $2,000 in costs, and continued rehab.

Thanks to your donations and a generous grant, Wonder had her surgery, the pins are out, and she is healing beautifully! 🥹❤️

Rescue is a long-term commitment. Sometimes the puppy you save at 14 weeks still needs you years later—and we make that promise every time.

We couldn’t do it without you.

One of our fosters spent the weekend with Nancy who is up for adoption and is currently fostered Run! Day Camp For Dogs. This is what she had to say! 🐾😊

“I spent the weekend with my girl Nancy and I’m officially convinced she is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet.
Nancy is looking for her forever home and she would make the perfect companion for so many families. She is happiest as the only dog or with a calm, chill male dog.
This girl loves toys, sticks, water and pretty much anything that involves having a good time. She’s always smiling, tapping her little feet, and making sure everyone knows just how happy she is to be here.💕
Nancy is the kind of dog who will bring so much joy, laughter and love into your life. She deserves a forever family who will love her as much as she loves life. Nancy will need someone who is good at providing structure and boundaries as well as proper exercise.🏃🏻‍♀️💨

🦝 🍼Tiny Trash Panda alert! 🥹Sometimes changing the world doesn’t begin with grand gestures. Sometimes it begins with stopping for the smallest cry in the woods. 🤎

Creature Keeper Farm & Sanctuary has a couple of very special new babies to introduce.

A few weeks ago, these tiny raccoons were found alone in the woods—crying, wandering, painfully thin, and desperately hungry. They were brought to us, and we immediately transferred them into the care of one of our fosters who is licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Where they could receive the specialized care they needed.

Today, they’re bigger, stronger, and doing wonderfully ! 💛 We’ll continue sharing updates as they grow, with the ultimate goal of returning them to where they belong-
back in the wild. 🌿

At Creature Keeper Farm & Sanctuary, we believe that every life we share this planet with has value. With that,comes a responsibility to help when an animal in need crosses our path.

(We’re also excited to share that becoming licensed wildlife rehabilitators ourselves is one of our future goals.)😊

In the meantime enjoy the sweet little faces of “we have committed absolutely zero crimes, your honor.”
Likely-they are already planning how to steal an entire bag of dog food. 🤣

There’s a puppy in need of Rescue here in Vancouver, Washington .
We have absolutely no space at our farm to bring more dogs in at this time.
However, we are looking for a partner Rescue that has space to take a puppy Great Pyrenees.
Estimated to be five or six months.
If you have space, please reach out!
It’s urgent!

Russ has officially been adopted🎉🤩 heading to his home in Canada! 🇨🇦

Russ was rescued from a ranch where he was not a
interested in herding but loooooves his people. 💞
He was being bullied by his dog pals there.🙁

Thankfully a good friend ( and good human!) took him and reached out to CKFS to see if we could help find him a home.🐾🩵
He will be an active hiking buddy with two other herders.

Russ found an amazing trainer with two other herding dogs and she does film, commercial, agility and is an avid hiker. What a life!

ADOPTED!!🎉
Meet Russ 🐾 (Professional Cow-Dog Dropout… Full-Time Good Boy) 🐶

Straight outta Nevada, Russ is a 2-year-old Idaho S**g (yes, it’s a real thing… and yes, he’s as cool as he sounds).

Turns out…
🐄 Cows? Not his passion.😹
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 People? OBSESSED.💕

Russ gave the whole “working dog” career a solid attempt, then politely resigned to pursue his true calling:
✨ being your best friend and family dog.

He’s got a big heart, sweet nature, and is great with kids—basically the kind of dog who wants to be in the family, not just around it.

Now let’s be real—he’s still a herding mix, so he’s not looking for a Netflix-and-never-leave-the-couch situation (well… maybe after a hike 😏).
👉 He’ll need an active home that can give his brain and body a job—even if that job is just “adventure buddy” or “professional stick collector.”

When he arrives at the farm, he’ll be:
✔️ Fully vetted
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Up-to-date on vaccines
✔️ Evaluated so we can set him up for success

Russ didn’t fail at being a cow dog…
He just got reassigned to something way more important 💛
