There’s a puppy in need of Rescue here in Vancouver, Washington .
We have absolutely no space at our farm to bring more dogs in at this time.
However, we are looking for a partner Rescue that has space to take a puppy Great Pyrenees.
Estimated to be five or six months.

Russ has officially been adopted🎉🤩 heading to his home in Canada! 🇨🇦

Russ was rescued from a ranch where he was not a
interested in herding but loooooves his people. 💞
He was being bullied by his dog pals there.🙁

Thankfully a good friend ( and good human!) took him and reached out to CKFS to see if we could help find him a home.🐾🩵
He will be an active hiking buddy with two other herders.

Russ found an amazing trainer with two other herding dogs and she does film, commercial, agility and is an avid hiker. What a life!

Meet Russ 🐾 (Professional Cow-Dog Dropout… Full-Time Good Boy) 🐶

Straight outta Nevada, Russ is a 2-year-old Idaho S**g (yes, it’s a real thing… and yes, he’s as cool as he sounds).

Turns out…
🐄 Cows? Not his passion.😹
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 People? OBSESSED.💕

Russ gave the whole “working dog” career a solid attempt, then politely resigned to pursue his true calling:
✨ being your best friend and family dog.

He’s got a big heart, sweet nature, and is great with kids—basically the kind of dog who wants to be in the family, not just around it.

Now let’s be real—he’s still a herding mix, so he’s not looking for a Netflix-and-never-leave-the-couch situation (well… maybe after a hike 😏).
👉 He’ll need an active home that can give his brain and body a job—even if that job is just “adventure buddy” or “professional stick collector.”

When he arrives at the farm, he’ll be:
✔️ Fully vetted
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Up-to-date on vaccines
✔️ Evaluated so we can set him up for success

Russ didn’t fail at being a cow dog…
He just got reassigned to something way more important 💛

SQUID🦑ADOPTED. ❤️

Squid came from Riverside Shelter labeled rescue-only.
Not because he was “bad”—but because he needed the right match.✔️

He came to our farm, lived in a balanced pack, and showed exactly who he is: a solid, happy cattle dog who thrives with structure, purpose and exercise.

Today, Squid is home.💕
A staffordshire dog buddy.
A wildly active couple.🏃🏻‍♀️💨
Hiking, adventure—and 40 acres to run.🌲🌲⛰️

This is why we advocate.✔️
Dogs don’t fail shelters—mismatched expectations do.

This girl! 😍😍😍She hit the jackpot with her adopter!🏆
It’s been three months and she’s settled in beautifully with her little pack! 🐾🐾🐾

This little girl came to us absolutely terrified of the world. She was a hoarding dog along with 50 other dogs. We pulled four of them.
Flicker was one of four that got an amazing home💝! Thank you, thank you thank you for taking the time and the patience and the love so she could come out of her shell and be a crazy little beast she is!! 💛💛💛💛❣️❣️❣️
