Jackson Ward isn't just a "development zone"—it’s the Harlem of the South. It’s our history, our home, and our heart. Right now, Phase 1 of the redevelopment is moving forward, but the math doesn’t add up for the people who actually live here.
RRHA has been given a roadmap by the Mayor’s Office, but we are the ones who have to make sure they follow it. We are calling on all of Richmond—from Church Hill to the Fan—to stand with the residents of Gilpin Court.

Our demands are clear:

✅ No evictions without a signed Tenants' Bill of Rights.
✅ Prioritize the 100+ vacant units before touching occupied homes.
✅ A true 1-for-1 on-site replacement of all 781 units.
History is watching. Don't let them build over us—help us build WITH us.
