Day 30 — Awareness Must Continue

Domestic Violence Awareness Month may be ending, but domestic violence does not disappear when October ends.

Keep listening.
Keep educating.
Keep believing survivors.
Keep challenging victim blaming.
Keep promoting healthy relationships.
Keep remembering those we lost.

Day 29 — Survivorship Is More Than Leaving

Leaving an abusive relationship is not always the end of the journey.

Survivors may still face grief, financial challenges, custody issues, trauma responses, safety concerns, rebuilding relationships, or learning to trust themselves again.

PSA: Healing does not follow a deadline.
Support survivors during the rebuilding—not only during the crisis.

Day 28 — Be the Safe Person

Sometimes a survivor will test the waters before revealing what is happening.

They may casually mention an argument, controlling behavior, fear, or something that does not feel right.
Your reaction matters.

PSA: Listen before judging. Ask questions before giving instructions. Believe before blaming.

You may become the person they feel safe enough to call when they need help.

Create Day 27 — Remembering Those We Lost

Domestic violence awareness must also include remembrance.

Behind every statistic is a person.

A parent.
A child.
A sibling.
A friend.
A coworker.
A neighbor.

PSA: Today we honor those whose lives were taken by domestic violence and hold their loved ones in our hearts.

They may continue working, parenting, helping others, smiling, volunteering, and showing up while privately experiencing fear or abuse.

Day 25 — Healthy Relationships Have Boundaries

Healthy love allows individuality.

You can have friends.
You can have privacy.
You can say no.
You can disagree.
You can spend time alone.
You can make decisions.

PSA: Boundaries do not weaken healthy relationships. They help protect them.
