As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the many activities, events, trainings, and conversations held throughout our community.

This month was filled with opportunities to learn, connect, raise awareness, and share valuable mental health resources. Whether you attended an event, participated in an activity, helped spread the word, or simply took the time to start a conversation about mental health, your involvement made a difference.

We invite you to join us at the Take Strides Su***de Prevention Walk on September 30 at 5:00 pm as we come together to continue raising awareness, honor loved ones, and support su***de prevention efforts in our community.

Thank you for helping create a community where mental health is talked about openly, resources are shared, and support is accessible. We appreciate your commitment to making mental health a priorityโ€”not just in May, but all year long. ๐Ÿ’š

Richland High School students were invited to speak at the radio stations yesterday for Mental Health Awareness month.

These AMAZING studentโ€™s went on the radio to share their personal stories about mental health and raise awareness.

They were brave, heartfelt and spoke with such honesty and strength.

Watching and listening to them brought me to tears and gave me goosebumps.

If I ever doubted that what we do matters, I donโ€™t anymoreโ€”after listening to these kids, I know that without a doubt it does!๐Ÿ’š

Thank you to Lutheran Community Services, Will Bradley Big 95.7 and the Felix Show at Power 99.1.

Please tune in to 99.1 tomorrow morning at 7:18 am and 7:29 am to hear their interview!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Last week, Richland High School celebrated Mental Health Awareness Month with a week full of connection, positivity, and fun!

Students and staff came together for a spirit week and daily lunchtime activities focused on supporting wellness and reducing stress.

Throughout the week, students made stress balls and calming wands, participated in yoga with our good friend Amy from Trinity Hot Yogaโ€ฆstudents played games, colored with chalk and spent time simply connecting with one another.

Craig with 988 spoke with students and handed out resources on Friday.

And of course, Kona Ice came out to support us โ€” because sometimes a snow cone really does help your mental health ๐Ÿง๐Ÿ’š
