Tri-Cities IORG is excited to be working on a special service project for the dogs and cats at the Benton-Franklin Humane Society

Our members are collecting items to create Easter baskets for the animals, and we would love your help. We have put together an Amazon wish list, and any items purchased will be shipped directly to the girl coordinating this project. Once everything arrives, our members will assemble the baskets together.

This is such a fun way for our girls to give back and show kindness to animals in our community. Thank you for supporting Tri-Cities Rainbow and helping us make this project possible.

Wrapping up our series for

🫶🏼Rainbow is more than meetings and events—it’s the friendships that turn into a real sisterhood. Whether you came in with a sister or found one here, you’re never doing it alone.

Whether it’s your sister or your best friend, here’s what sisterhood sounds like:

🫶🏼“She’s my sister, but also my built-in ride or die.”

🫶🏼“We hype each other up… even when we’re nervous.”

🫶🏼“She makes me feel like I belong.”

🫶🏼“I wouldn’t have tried half the things I’ve done without her.”

🫶🏼“We can be totally different and it still works.”

🫶🏼“We’re friends first… but it really does feel like sisters.”

🫶🏼“If I’m having a bad day, she already knows.”

As we continue our International Women’s Day series, we’re proud to highlight an alumna whose impact is still felt across our jurisdiction. Now serving as District Deputy and an advisor, she’s a wonderful example of the kind of leadership Rainbow helps grow.

Some of her favorite Rainbow memories come from her year as Grand Worthy Advisor—traveling, seeing her goals and programs come to life, and building lifelong friendships and mentorships along the way. She also hopes girls see Rainbow as “a safe space to step outside of their comfort zone.”

She credits Rainbow with teaching her how to work with people of all ages, meet people where they are, and build skills she still uses today: “I first learned how to plan events and keep a budget in Rainbow, and now I’m lucky enough to be paid to do this full time!”

For moms, alumni, and girls looking for a place to grow, her story is such a good reminder of what Rainbow can be.

As we continue our series, we’re grateful to share this reflection from Lilybeth, one of our alumni, on what Rainbow sisterhood can really look like—friendships that go deeper than shared events and group photos.

Rainbow helped me to make friendships with people who I never would have met otherwise. I learned how important communication and compromise are in not just building but nurturing the friendships you have and that its okay to lean on eachother for support when you need it.

A moment that stands out to me for the support and being able to lean on another comes after a situation came out and Becky took me and my mom aside in a comic book store at Pikes Place and told us “whatever you need, whenever you need it, give me a call and I’ll come help in whatever way I can”. Periodically I remember that and a couple other moments to remind myself that I have people who care.

I hope the girls learn to lean on one another. You don’t have to be strong stoick type to be a friend, you can be soft and vulnerable too. Go out of your comfort zone, make those friendships that you wouldn’t have otherwise. You never know, maybe you find your core friends there.🫶

Next up on our International Women’s Day series, Zoe, a third generation Rainbow girl, highlights her grandma and the impact she’s had on her life…

She has taught me patience, kindness, and how important it is to be honest. One of the things I love most about her is that she’s always real with me, and I know I can count on her to tell me the truth and help me when I need it.

Some of my favorite memories with her are traveling together—especially our trip to Europe and all the road trips across the state for Rainbow. I also love getting to be her “phone assistant” along the way, which always makes those trips even more fun.

What makes it even more special is that Rainbow is something we share. It gives me a chance to spend time with my grandma in a different way, learn from her, and spend time with her, through something that means a lot to both of us.

Happy International Women’s Day to my grandma.

As we continue our International Women’s Day series, we’re so happy to highlight Danielle and the lasting impact Rainbow has had on her life.

She shares that Rainbow taught her public speaking and gave her self-confidence—two gifts she says have made a huge difference in her life. One moment she has never forgotten came when she was still new in Rainbow, serving as a Page for Mrs. Brown during our annual state convention (Grand Assembly). She remembers being told how important first impressions are, and that lesson has stayed with her ever since, reminding her to always put her best foot forward.

Now, Danielle is getting to share Rainbow with her niece, which makes her story feel even more special. It’s such a meaningful reminder that the lessons, friendships, and confidence built here don’t end with one generation—they can be passed on and experienced again in a new way.

What she hopes girls take from Rainbow today is just as meaningful: the importance of friendship, being of service to others, self-confidence, and learning to speak up. Her story is such a special reminder of the lifelong impact Rainbow can have—and how beautiful it is when that impact comes full circle.
