Urgent Support Needed for a Longtime Supporter

We’ve received a request for help from one of our longtime supporters whose health has been declining. Unfortunately, their caretaker/family member had been personally rescuing cats and kittens and, when they moved out, left the cats behind for this individual to care for alone.

They are now struggling immensely to keep up with daily care and basic supplies.

At this time, our rescue is not able to take these cats into intake due to lack of foster space. However, we are doing everything we can to support them where they are — and right now, the most urgent needs are food and litter.

After comparing options, we’ve found the best balance of nutrition and affordability to be:
• Cat food: Costco purple bag — $25 for 25 lbs
• Litter: Pine pellets from Ranch & Home — $10 for 40 lbs

Any help toward these supplies would make an immediate and meaningful difference and would directly relieve stress for someone who has supported animals for years and is now facing serious health challenges.

Seeing stories like this breaks our hearts. We hate the hurt that’s involved. Poor mama gave her life for these babies. Poor babies for not having a mama anymore. And we are sure the owner is heartbroken as well. We HATE the suffering involved with accidental, unplanned, or irresponsible breeding.

Even ethical breeders know leaving pets intact has risks even without pregnancy. Testicular torsion can happen at any time. Pyometra is also incredibly common in females. Pregnancy carries soo many risks too, including death for mom and babies.

Please spay and neuter your pets. Please don’t breed unless you’ve done the work that’s involved with ethical breeding. Ethical breeding is not easy. It costs well over a hundred thousand dollars to produce one ethical litter. Rescue a pet that’s already nuetered OR spend the pretty penny to buy from someone who has an ethical litter. There’s no inbetween anymore.

Does anyone recognize this pup? He is microchipped. He was adopted from TCAS but the person who adopted him says she rehomed him and doesn’t have to contact info of the adopter. He was found in Badger Mountain this morning. His registration says his name is Calf.

We’ve been quiet over here but it’s because we’ve been busy with rescue! We started sharing about 3 years ago and we are almost done! 4 pups left at the property but today we need help with some community things!

This is what “bonded pair” means. It means if you separate them they could literally die of depression, heartache, malnutrition, etc. It is NOT because they like each other a lot. Rehoming dogs together is next to impossible. Please be realistic when you are rehoming. Do what’s right for your dogs not your feelings.
