🍀 The Hall of Fame recognizes 4-H volunteers, financial supporters, staff, and pioneers who made major contributions to the 4-H movement at the local, state, and national levels.

👥 Any group or individual is eligible to submit a nomination for consideration.

Parents Forever is an educational class for parents and caregivers in the process of divorce, already divorced, or never married but separating. In this class, you will learn how family transitions affect children and how children experience family conflict. You will learn how to care for yourself during your family transition and how to prevent and reduce conflict.

**Please Note: This class may or may not meet the requirement for court mandated co-parenting classes for divorcing parents. Please confirm with your county before registering for this class for that purpose.

🏛️ Oneida County Youth in Governance is Back for Year 2!

Today marked the official start of another exciting year of Oneida County Youth in Governance, and what a fantastic kickoff it was!

Our student representatives gathered at the Oneida County Courthouse for Government/Courthouse Day, where they spent the afternoon building connections through fun icebreakers, learning about county government, and exploring parliamentary procedure through an interactive game that brought these important topics to life.

Participants also got a behind-the-scenes look at how local government works with Oneida County Administrative Coordinator Tracy Hartman, who shared how resolutions are created, discussed the process for making motions and amendments, and provided valuable insight into the work of the County Board.

A special thank you to County Board Supervisors Mary Roth Burns, Lenore Lopez, Michael Tautges, and Billy Fried for taking the time to meet with our youth, answer questions, and share their experiences serving the community. Students also had the opportunity to work with Oneida County Corporate Counsel Chad Lynch, gaining even more knowledge about local government and public service.

It was a productive, engaging, and enjoyable afternoon filled with learning, leadership, and meaningful conversations. We are excited to see this year's Youth in Governance participants grow their skills, share their voices, and represent the youth of Oneida County throughout the year!

👏 Here's to another great year of civic engagement and leadership development!

- Choose-your-own-adventure interactive activities
- Reflection on the weekend and future goal setting

How to Help Your Child Who Feels Down: A Training for Parents

We all feel down and blue from time to time, but some people can get stuck feeling that way. When this happens to our children, it can be really hard for them, and for us as their concerned parents. This two-part class will teach you the knowledge and research-based skills to help your child feel better.

In particular, you will learn:
What mood is
What factors influence mood
How to help your child improve their mood

This class is intended for parents of children who feel a little down. If your child struggles with more serious depression, please contact a mental health professional or school counselor.

Oneida County 4-H members had a hands-on day learning how to make delicious homemade salsa using fresh, nutritious produce grown right at the Rhinelander Area Community Garden! 🍅🌶️

Not only did they sharpen their cooking skills, but they also explored the importance of a balanced ecosystem—seeing firsthand how healthy soil, plants, and pollinators all work together to grow the food we enjoy. 🌼🐝

Learning, growing, and having fun—what a great memory to look back on! 💚
