That was incredible! Our cup is full. Thanks to the twelve new riders who came to our Give It A Go! Ride bikes with us! The woods were full of chatter and laughter as kids played bikes with friends old and new. We hope to see you all on the trails again in July!

This Thursday we will host a Give It A Go! event at Washburn Trails. Youth going into 6th - 12th grade next fall, join coaches and riders from the Rhinelander Northwoods Composite Team to learn the basics of mountain biking! All middle and high school students from Rhinelander and surrounding communities are welcome! Our coaches and team parents will be available to answer questions about the sport and our team, examine equipment and provide basic skill instruction. Absolutely no commitment necessary. All skill levels are welcome.

Please plan on dining with us next Tuesday at the Culver's in Rhinelander! 10% of all sales are donated to our team. It is also a great opportunity to meet some of our coaches and athletes.

The Rhinelander Northwoods Composite (RNC) is a mountain biking team comprised of middle and high school students from Rhinelander, Tomahawk, Lakeland, Northland Pines, Three Lakes, Crandon and Phelps.

Thanks to the 17 RNC coaches and althletes who attended this morning's trail clean-up at Washburn! Thank to them and the additional 17 other RASTA members, every inch of singletrack has been blown and is clear of downed trees. We are race ready with two weeks to spare before RASTA Rally! Way to go team!

The RNC is seeking girls who've got GRiT OR....are looking to get some! What is Grit? It can mean different things to different people. Sometimes it's finding the courage to try something new outside of your comfort zone - joining a new team, trying a new sport or tackling a new obstacle on the trail. Sometimes it is choosing to continue when quitting would be easier. However you define it, we often recognize the moment our athletes find it. That day they walk away with a new understanding of themself, a new level of confidence that will benefit them on and off the bike for years to come. NICA's GRiT program is about more than riding bikes…it’s about building community, supporting one another, and proving to ourselves what we’re capable of. Rhinelander area girls, come find and feed your GRiT! All abilities are welcome!
