🌙✨ MOONLIGHT MADNESS! ✨🌙

What an electrifying, glowing, and unforgettable evening for the Shasta Trailblazers! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💫

First of all, a HUGE THANK YOU to Coaches Matt, Kim, and Kristin for all of their incredible behind-the-sceneswork at the event! 👏

They not only successfully managed parking for nearly 400 cars, but also helped control traffic to keep our runners safe and guided runners along the trail. Your hard work made a HUGE difference! 🙌

🌟 THANK YOU to Midnite Racing’s John Luaces, along with his wife and son, for the countless hours they put into making this event happen. John is truly an INVALUABLE asset to our running community! We are so grateful for everything you do! ❤️

💚 A special thank you to Tanya’s family for bringing all the glow sticks and glow tape, and to Quinn’s family for the glowing hair ties! The kids were absolutely glowing, and these special touches made the night even more fun! 🌈✨

We had 18 Trailblazing Kids racing alongside 389 total racers! The challenge: 2 miles across Shasta Dam and backunder the moonlight! 🌙🏃‍♀️
And WOW… there were some VERY impressive times! 🔥
A special shout-out to our mentor Donald Leedy, who took OVERALL 1ST PLACE! 🥇🏆

🌅🌲 SUNSET THROUGH THE TREES – FINAL RACE RESULTS! 🌲🌅
The Shasta Trailblazers absolutely dominated the finals! 🔥🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Out of 77 racers, our Trailblazing kids captured the TOP FOUR overall spots! 🏆
🥇 Jacob with an amazing 11:49 finish (2mile)

And the Trailblazer girls swept the TOP FOUR women's spots! 💪🔥

🏆 Tanya.. and in the long distance division (4.3 mile course), Samantha was the top female finisher! (30:24) She is looking like a top contender in the overall points standings! 👏

What an incredible showing by these young athletes. Their hard work, determination, and love for racing continue to shine! 💥

MOONLIGHT MADNESS

Where: Shasta Dam
When: Saturday, August 29th, Race begins at 8:15
What: 2 mile race across the Dam and back

AWESOME RACE - Watch sunsets, beautiful views of the Dam and Lake Shasta, Race with Glow Sticks, the finish line is literally glowing! Age group awards to the top 3.

Sign up on-line or on race day.

TRAILBLAZERS - Get there early to find parking. Warm ups begin at 7:30. Wear your uniform. Bring glow sticks or glow necklaces, etc.

Another week of Shasta Trailblazers Cross Country training is in the books! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌲

This week was packed with fun, adventure, and plenty of miles!

Our athletes tackled:
💪 Cross-training
🌊 A long river trail run
🏃 Obstacle races
🤸 Parkour & playground adventures
🌅 And competing in the "Sunset Thru The Trees" Race at Lema Ranch!.. and cooling off in the Sacramento River.

💚We love keeping training fun, challenging, and adventurous while building stronger runners and an even stronger team. 💙

We’re excited to get back at it tomorrow and see what next week brings! Let's go, Trailblazers! 🏔️🔥.

If you are interested in joining our team, and you are a youth 2nd-8th grade, and love running, come out to the next "Sunset Thru the Trees" on Tuesday, August 25th at the Redding Park Gazebo. Races begin at 7pm.

🏃‍♀️💦 NASH MUD RUN – SEPTEMBER 12TH! 💦🏃‍♂️

Get ready, Shasta Trailblazers… THIS RACE IS EPIC! 🤩🔥

The Shasta Trailblazers are taking on the Nash Mud Run at the Nash Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, September 12th, ~10:00 AM–noon!

We are signing up as a TEAM, which means we’ll all start together and tackle the course as a group!

If you’ve never done a mud run before, you are in for a treat! Expect obstacles, mud, hills, slides, and… did I mention MUD?! 😂🌊🛝

👟 IMPORTANT: Make sure your shoes are securely tied and well secured to your feet. You don’t want to lose a shoe in the mud!

Ready to get muddy with your Trailblazer teammates? 🧡🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

When? Tuesday, August 25th, Races start at 7pm
Where? Lake Redding Park Gazebo
Who? Anyone interested in having fun and running
What? 2 mile and 4.3 mile course

Music, Fun, Snacks, Otter Pops, …

All Shasta Trailblazers - be there at 6:20 pm to warm up. Wear your uniform.

Thank you Captain Matt and Kim and Kristin for leading us on an amazing adventure volunteering at the IronMan70.3. I know you spent countless of "behind the scenes" hours with meetings, applying for scholarships, setting up tents, taking down tents, etc.

Thank you for all your hard work and leading us in new directions!

The kids had a fantastic time! We had "front row" seats of the action in both directions. ... and beautiful view of the Sacramento River. We were set up in the shade with a cool breeze.
.. and Kudos to Coach Matt Wall ("VO2 max Matt") who competed and did very well in the IronMan. He looked really relaxed and strong as he came thru our station.
