Thank you Sven Andersen and team for putting on a wonderful community event called Shred and Share today in Wi******er. We were honored to be a part of the festivities. Mission of Deeds is proud to be part of Shred It & Share It event put on by Andersen Group Realty on Saturday, September 19, from 9 AM–1 PM at the Wi******er Town Hall parking lot!

Our goal is to collect 250 brand-new kitchen sponges for the families we serve. It may be a small item but it’s an everyday essential that can help make a new home feel a little more complete.

We’ll also be accepting gently used kitchen items, including:
🍴 Silverware
🍳 Pots & pans
🥣 Mixing bowls
🥗 Colanders
🥫 Can openers
🥕 Vegetable peelers

Bring your paperwork to shred, bring a sponge to help us reach 250, and help fill our truck with kitchen essentials!

Recently, we helped a mother and her baby, who is under one year old, furnish their home.

She was especially excited about receiving a new bed. She had been sleeping on an air mattress, and almost every morning around 3 AM, it would lose all of its air.

She knew that if she got up to refill it, the noise might wake her baby. So instead, she would try to make do with a completely deflated mattress.

We were so happy to provide her with a proper mattress and bed—giving both her and her baby a more comfortable place to rest and, hopefully, a few more peaceful nights of sleep.

This is what a bed can mean to someone.

It’s more than furniture. It’s comfort, dignity, and a good night’s sleep. 💚
