We’re so excited to once again gather with family and friends to honor David and celebrate his heavenly birthday (April 30th.) This day is always a special opportunity to reconnect, share memories, and enjoy some sweet treats together.

🍨🍦🍧We celebrate by eating ice cream!

We would like to thank everyone for showing up to our 4th annual ice cream social!! As always, we could never make this special day happen without the hardworking staff at Putnam Pantry Candies, Ice Cream & Cafe - we are so grateful for your friendship and cooperation! We would also like to acknowledge some of David’s biggest fans, who volunteered their scooping hands and loving hearts to make sure the day went smoothly. Shout to Lianne ODay and the O’Day family for donating this year’s raffle prize - we love you guys! Along side the ice cream, being able to give hugs and spend time with all of you wonderful supporters was the treat of the day! This foundation would not be able to follow through with its mission, of supplying scholarships to young learners, without your help - so we THANK YOU (with a cherry on top)!

Unfortunatley, Rich needs our help more now than ever. Latest update below....

Rich has had a dull pain in the area where they removed his kidney back in October, and doctors had chalked it up to a muscle strain because he went back to playing gigs a month after the surgery. This past week, Rich, Sarah, Emmy, and Sarah's parents flew down to Florida to visit family.

While there he spiked a fever, had chills, and was in unbearable pain. After consultation with his oncologist back in Boston it was recommended he get a scan immediately at the local hospital in Stuart, FL. After multiple scans, they discovered a mass on his spleen. They are awaiting pathology to determine what this mass is. In addition it appears the scan shows melanoma has spread to his liver. We are completely devastated as we know he’s out of FDA approved treatment options. Please pray as hard as you can for a trial he can qualify for.

So as it stands now, Rich is stuck in Florida. Plans are for a possible transfer to a cancer center in Miami but he is still waiting on news and it is likely he will not be back for the event. While Rich and Sarah deal with this down south, the FIG'S FIGHT team is dedicated to making this event as successful as possible in order to offer as much financial support to Rich and Sarah. So please support him if you can by Venmo, Go Fund Me, or just simply come to the event next Sunday. Thank you!

Updated sticker alert 🚨 To everyone that has been participating in the photo challenge, THANK YOU and don’t ever stop! So many people have reached out for stickers, we got to most of you but ran out of supplies. New stickers have been ordered and this round includes a QR code that redirects to the foundation’s website (work in progress).
