We were joined by a fantastic Team Give group from Iron Mountain today. They helped us to organize supplies, move furniture, bundle shoes for our shoe drive, and pack backpacks for our back-to-school carnival! They made a HUGE difference in just a few hours. Thank you!

Mary’s Shelter has no shortage of volunteer opportunities throughout the summer. Volunteers must be scheduled in advance, but getting started is easy! Just call our front office or email us ([email protected]) and we’ll get everything set up. From helping prepare for special events and activities to supporting our day-to-day operations, there will always be a place for you! Not only do many hands make light work, but showing up to volunteer helps to remind the youth, moms and families we serve that their community cares about them. We hope to hear from you soon!

There’s still plenty of time to make some extra room in your closet by contributing to our shoe drive! Just drop your shoes off with our front office anytime during the week (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm) and we’ll take it from there! Email [email protected] with any questions!

Thank you for building and donating a brand new bicycle! Our residents range from teens to young adults and many use bikes as a form of transportation. There’s no doubt that this bike will be put to good use!

Mary’s Shelter is proud to be the Wisler Pearlstine Charitable Giving Fund’s first Berks County grant recipient. The Fund distributes grants to organizations that provide essential services to individuals, children and families and we are honored to have our services recognized and supported in such a way.
