💙💚 DID YOU KNOW? Youth Homelessness Is Often Hidden.

Imagine being a teenager and not knowing where you'll sleep tonight.

For millions of young people across America, this uncertainty is a reality.

🏠 1 in 30 adolescents ages 13–17 experience homelessness in a year.

🏠 1 in 10 young adults ages 18–25 experience homelessness in a year.

And homelessness doesn't always mean living on the streets. It can mean sleeping on someone's couch, moving from place to place, or staying somewhere temporary because there's nowhere else to go.

At Mary's Shelter, we believe every young person deserves more than a temporary place to sleep. They deserve safety, stability, encouragement, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

💚 Every young person has potential. Every young person has dreams. Every young person deserves a future.

💙💚 CONNECTION MATTERS: THE POWER OF COMMUNITY 💚💙
Taking care of your mental health isn’t only about what you do for yourself — it’s also about who you surround yourself with.
Strong friendships, supportive relationships, and feeling connected to a community can make a meaningful difference in a young person’s emotional well-being. Sometimes simply knowing that someone is there to listen, laugh with you, encourage you, or remind you that you’re not alone can help make difficult days feel a little lighter.
🌱 Building those connections can start small. Join a club or group that interests you, take a class, volunteer in your community, try a new hobby, reconnect with a friend, or spend time with people who make you feel supported and accepted.
