Here we are setting out the over 150 bikes that were donated for adoption this year. Thanks to everyone who particpated in this year's Bike Recycling and Give-Away! This event was created by ReadingCares and the Reading Climate Committee with support from RMLD, RPD, REI, Town of Reading, the courageous volunteers who worked through a second rainy bike day, and all the community members who donated and adopted these bikes.
We hope to see everyone next year for another successful bike event!

As a result of the federal government shutdown, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the funding that powers this benefit are currently uncertain. As such, please see the resources in the link below for those who may have their SNAP funds impacted by the shutdown, and how residents can help support local resources for neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

The link below for the Town of Reading's newsflash includes more resources on how to support your local community including the Reading Food Pantry which currently serves more than 400 households in town and is located at the Old South United Methodist Church at 6 Salem Street in the center of Reading.
