A planned fitness court could open next month at Moulton Park. The town will then consider a series of "phase two" projects at the park.

Hope to see you at Moulton this morning for some spring clean-up!

Spring has sprung... or has it? I think I just saw a snow flake! Let's make spring happen - please join the Friends of Moulton Park for some spring cleaning this Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 a.m. The Wakefield DPW got a jump on things today by refilling the sandbox and doing some leaf removal. Help us add the finishing touches - grab your push broom and rake and meet us there Saturday morning. We'll be picking up litter, sweeping the walk ways and hopscotch area, raking any remaining leaves, and most importantly, catching up with old friends and making new ones!

Friends of Moulton Park, please consider being a friend to A.P. Rounds Playground in Stoneham by donating your time this coming Saturday, August 24th for their second and final build day. They will be constructing a play structure for 5-12 year old children and could use all the help they can get, both construction and logistical support (welcome tent, lunch, child care). Even if you only have a couple of hours to give, please consider contributing to this important effort. The volunteers that are driving this effort have worked so hard - let's help them reach the finish line! For Build Day details and to sign up for a time to volunteer visit: http://www.playgroundhunt.com/blog/rebuild-our-playground/.

In honor of Earth Day there will be a clean-up event at Moulton Park today at 4:00. Please bring your push brooms and rakes, as we'll be sweeping the walkways and raking the wood chips back into the play areas in the playground. We'll have plenty of bags and gloves on hand for picking up recycling and trash from around the park. To help cut down on waste please bring refillable water bottles if you're able. Look forward to seeing you!

It's been a little over a week since the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Re-Opening of Moulton Playground. Needless to say, we think the children are enjoying it so far! For anyone who hasn't been by the playground this week, it's getting a lot of use and has instantly become the gathering place for families every afternoon and evening and all weekend long. It's everything that FROMP could have hoped for! A very big THANK YOU to everyone that gave so much of themselves to make the renovation possible, especially our generous donors, the DPW, and our families!

We won't have to wait long - two days until the ribbon cutting, Friday at 4:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
