Dr. Andrea Gayle-Bennett, Massachusetts Deputy Secretary of the Executive Office of Veterans’ Services had an amazing speech, with lots of resources for anyone who served in the military. Her ask was pretty straightforward:
- Don’t automatically assume it was a male who served in the military, it’s an outdated stereotype.
- A good conversation starter is to just ask, "Did you serve?"
- Far too many veterans have no idea so much is available to them.
- Let Wakefield vets known that Dave Mangan is the town Veteran’s Service Officer. Contact Town Hall for contact info.

Congrats to Anthony on your 2026 Bob Crawford Unsung Hero Scholarship from the Wakefield Rotary Club!

In life and business, Anthony is driven by mission and a strong commitment to giving back to the community. Whether he's fundraising for the National MS Foundation or the Class of 2026 or donating services to help clean up spaces around Wakefield, including the upper lot, Anthony consistently pays attention to the ways he can help others and takes action to do just that.

This makes Anthony a deserving recipient of the Bob Crawford Unsung Hero Award, which recognizes students for their hard work and service to community during their high school years.
