Lions Club Reading MA

Lions Club Reading MA Reading Lions Club was chartered in 1938 and since then has become an integral part of the Reading community serving those less fortunate and in need.

Reading Lions members make friends everywhere we work including children who may need help due to vision or hearing impairment, illnesses and disabilities. Our mission is "to serve" which we do wholeheartedly. Help has been given to Massachusetts Lions Eye Research, Joslin Diabetics Center, Visual Aids for Visual Impaired, Reading Food Pantry, Scholarships to Reading High School Seniors, Camp Sunshine, Elder Services and Adopt-a-Family for Thanksgiving and Christmas among other charities.

We're looking at prime summer running weather on Thursday for the Journey for Sight Road Race! Online registration is open through 12am, July 16 for $30/$20 under 17. The Lions/FORR Journey for Sight 5k is Thursday! Here are a few quick tips to help you feel great on your run:
💧Hydrate through the day
🔵Try nothing new on race day
👟Warm up easy (5-10 min + a few short strides)
🐢Start slightly slower, then settle into target pace
⚡Increase effort in final mile
Register today! $30 online ($20 under 17), $35/$25 race day. T-shirts for first 250 runners. Prizes, refreshments & pizza following the race. All proceeds benefit Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund, Inc. (MLERF), and other vision charities. We're looking forward to seeing you at Memorial Park on Thursday, July 16 for 6:30pm race start.
