From Santiago to Seville, Baltimore to Bilbao — what a season it has been. 🌍

As we close out 2025-26, our newest single arrives: "C." from Poulenc's Deux Poèmes de Louis Aragon, FP 122, arranged for piano trio by Dietrich Zöllner. Haunting, spare, and deeply felt — it might be our favorite of the series so far.

These recordings have been our quiet companion through everything this year: a season-long project, released song by song, building toward a full album. Alongside "C.", we've recently released Métamorphoses: Paganini and Métamorphoses: C'est ainsi que tu es — all streaming now, link in bio.

Unforgettable concert at the Paul Mahder Gallery in Healdsburg last night! 🎨 incredible audience who came out in spite of the crazy rain pounding on the roof so hard it was almost like a percussion section. Nothing quite like performing chamber music while the sky absolutely loses its mind outside. 🤣 Thank you for having us!

Hard to imagine a more sumptuous venue! Playing at the Flagler Museum of Palm Beach was a real treat. Guests were granted entry to this historical gem an hour before the concert for a drink and hors d'oeuvres out by the water on a perfect full moon night. We played a selection of Poulenc songs and three trios by Quantz, Beethoven and Rossini. We also featured Aleh and Bryan with Schumann romances for oboe and piano and Saint-Saens bassoon Sonata. Finished the evening with champagne in the ballroom - a perfect Palm Beach night! Thank you !

Happy Valentine's Day! 💐 💝

In 1918, a nineteen-year-old Francis Poulenc — witty, irreverent, and inspired by Jean Cocteau — composed Toréador, a deliciously absurd ballad about a lovestruck bullfighter pining for Pépita, the so-called "queen of Venice." Part Spanish swagger, part Venetian fantasy, and entirely tongue-in-cheek, it's a song where unrequited love is served with a wink.

What better day than Valentine's to release a song about hopeless, utterly charming love? The Poulenc Trio is thrilled to share our new single — Toréador — available now on all streaming platforms.
