For Animals Inc. NYC-based TNR group focused on spay-neuter & alleviating companion-animal suffering & homelessness History: For Animals is owned by Theresa Samsingh Bachu.

For Animals is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit animal welfare organization based in Queens, NYC. Since its inception, For Animals’ TNR program has helped many cats across colonies, and educated dozens of caretakers about proper care for feral cats. The For Animals adoption program has also placed a multitude of homeless cats and kittens in loving, permanent homes while raising awareness about comp

anion animal homelessness and the importance of spay/neuter. Location: The main shelter (a small one in a converted garage with a catio) is in South Ozone Park Queens. The board comprises of Theresa and her brother. All the people who help out tirelessly with daily tasks are volunteers who do this along with their regular jobs. The volunteers run the organization's social media, answer emails, help with finding fosters, do adoption checks, make fundraiser videos, write the newsletters, and much more. Note: For Animals Inc does not take in animals from the public; it is strictly a TNR/adoption organization and finds homes for cats they rescue.

It may be summertime, but who wouldn’t love a little Snowflake? ❄️ 🤍
This sweet girl was rescued just in time 🙏
Her vetting revealed pyometra (which can be deadly), severe advanced periodontal disease, and a chronic upper respiratory infection 💔
Despite all that she suffered, she is the sweetest girl! She loves people and is affectionate immediately. She is a calm girl, and gets along with calm cats. She would also be perfectly happy as your one and only 😻
She is fully vetted and, spayed, vaccinated and negative for FIV and FeLV. She is estimated at 6 years old, and is so excited to know that her furever family will find her, hopefully soon 🥹

Jesting is a gorgeous Siamese mix that we met when we were called to help TNR a colony of cats in Bayside, Queens. 🐱
Although he has a steady feeder, Jesting was in rough shape. He looked thin on the street, and during his neuter it was noted that he had stomatitis (a painful, debilitating, and chronic inflammation of the gums and oral tissues), severe dental disease, significant muscle wasting, and that he was emaciated and dehydrated 💔 He only weighs 5.6 pounds and is estimated at 5 years old. This boy has been suffering immensely.
Jesting got his much needed dental surgery yesterday. We know that in a few days, his pain will decrease and hopefully he will regain weight
We are also treating Jesting for parasites, and allowing him time to rest and hopefully regain some weight as he heals.
Jesting is a feral cat. He has not had an easy life on the streets, but with medical attention, we hope he can now have a better quality of life.
The cost of Jesting’s dental was $475.
As a small rescue running solely on donations and unpaid volunteers, we always want to help a cat in need like Jesting. But we can’t do it without your help 🙏

Pepita 🧡 is showing kitten Ellie the ropes. Literally 😹
Pepita is a handsome orange boy, with matching orange eyes, and orange cat personality (if ya know ya know) 😉
While he is super sweet and playful, he can be rough at times, and does give the occasional love nips 😘
However, he is so in love with Ellie! He can be a little rough with her, but we think he must have been taught bad play behavior in the past. He doesn’t mean to be rough, he is just very high energy 🫣
He has been waiting far longer than we ever thought he would for his furever home.
He is very outgoing, very playful, very energetic, and would be great either as an only cat, or with another high energy cat. He also lives with a large dog now and is perfectly fine with her 🐶

Could you be the one who really gets Pepita and all his quirks? He really is an awesome cat!
