The Rhode Island we grew up in is incredibly diverse! Our neighbors were from Laos, Guatemala, Cabo Verde, and more. We know our state is home to about 175,000 immigrants speaking a multitude of languages, that’s why over the past few weeks we launched our Pardons for the People pamphlets in English, Spanish, Hmong, Portuguese, and more! Because we understand that this is the fight of all Rhode Islanders.

We have a new location! Join us Sunday, October 18th at 807 Broad St. (Algonquin House/ Broad Street Farmers Market) for FREE food and fun as we launch our “Pardons for the People” campaign to fight for working Rhode Islanders facing detention, deportation, indefinite incarceration and permanent separation from their families and communities 🖤

There will be barbecue, a co****le tournmant, khmer games, an interview with impacted community members, performances by the Lao Youth Center of RI, and more!! This is a family friendly event and we encourage everyone to bring at least 2-3 other people with them, if not the whole crew 💛

When our immigrant neighbors are under attack, what do we do? STAND UP, FIGHT BACK!

Thank you all for standing with us for Chan. His story is the story of thousands of immigrants right here in Rhode Island fighting for the right to remain with their families in the only home they have ever known.

This is precisely why we have launched the Pardons for the People campaign to fight for Rhode Islanders, immigrants and citizens alike, facing detention, deportation, indefinite incarceration and permanent separation from their families and communities. We understand that a state pardon can safeguard and reunite working families.

Our state elected officials have a duty to keep our communities safe. The question is clear, when federal institutions abuse their power to harm the people, what will you do? Which side will you be on? What will be your legacy?
