On May 1st, we celebrated our phenomenal Explorers who completed the program. This program highlights and centers BIPOC and MLL college students who are on their way to becoming aspiring teachers, youth advocates, and young leaders for their communities. A big thank you Tammy Vargas Warner, Ph.D, BCC, CMF, our board chair, for her attendance and participation. Thank you to the Inspiring Minds team and committee for all the work they put into it. And of course, Kia Minor, MS, the Director of Career Development and Education made a surprise appearance while ok maternity leave. We appreciate you! Congrats to all the Exporers!

We’re still energized from our 2nd Annual Expert Panel & Networking Event presented by Inspiring Minds and Kasandra Dozier of KCRS Youth Empowerment!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible panelists (Adebimpe Dare, Cristina Severino, Jael Lopes, and Yolonda Harley) for sharing your expertise, insights, and lived experiences. You made the conversation both powerful and inspiring.
To our amazing facilitator, Neyda DeJesus, thank you for guiding such a thoughtful, engaging, and dynamic discussion. Your leadership helped create a space where ideas truly flowed. Justin Case, you captured the night so beautifully with your photography.
And to our generous event space host, Culinary Hub of Providence (CHOP), we are so grateful for providing a welcoming environment that brought our community together.
Finally, thank you to everyone who attended, connected, and contributed to the energy in the room. And of course, to Kia Minor, MS, who was the lead person, along with Kasandra, but is on maternity leave, we thank you!
This is what community looks like.

63 Years of Impact

Because of you, 401Gives was more than a fundraiser; it was a powerful show of community in action. Together, we raised $8,470 from 86 generous donors in support of Inspiring Minds.
Your gifts help provide tutoring and mentoring during the school year, mindfulness and social-emotional learning in classrooms, paid internships for aspiring BIPOC and multilingual educators through Explorers, and critical summer learning opportunities for young students.
At a time when funding challenges are real, your support brings stability, opportunity, and hope to more than 2,600 students each year. Thank you for believing in our young people and in the 63 years of impact.
Thank you to and all who were a part of it!

Because of your contributions, we’ve secured over $6400. We still have a little bit of time to try and reach our goal of $10,000. Either way, thank you so much for all of your support. Let’s make this final push towards our goal!
