🖤💙Although we greatly regret never meeting Deputy Rick Coyle, we are thankful for the opportunity these wristbands have given us to interact with so many people who knew and loved him. From the students, staff, and teachers at Crittenden County, members of the community, the wife of a Chicago SWAT member, and various individuals who worked with Officer Coyle, we have learned what a truly selfless man he was. His consistent presence was his defining characteristic, so now it is our turn to be there for his family. Thank you to everyone who has shown support by purchasing wristbands. More will be available at Rocket Arena this afternoon during his memorial service. Please take as many as you would like, and consider leaving a small donation if you are able. We haven’t and won’t stop praying for his wife, family, and friends during this time. 💙🖤

It would be so touching to see everyone at Officer Coyle’s service wearing a wristband. Please help us make that happen!

If you preordered, want to purchase a wristband, or have a monetary donation, come to the parking lot across the road from Emmanuel Baptist Church tomorrow from 4:30-5:30. This will be the LAST official, scheduled pickup time, so don’t miss it! If anyone needs to pick up in Eddyville, let me know. I can meet on Monday May 4th between 11-12. ( message Kelly Conway)

Local leaders are asking the community to come together this afternoon to honor the return of Deputy Rick Coyle, whose body was taken to Louisville for an autopsy.

Coroner Brad Gilbert, Sheriff Evan Head, ComCare EMS and others are expected to return between 3 and 4 p.m. in a procession that will include law enforcement escorts through each county between Louisville and Marion. Coyle, who was mortally wounded while on duty April 2, died Thursday, April 30. As is standard procedure in such cases, an autopsy was required by the state medical examiner.

Residents are encouraged to line the procession route as a show of respect. The route will begin at the county line bridge on U.S. 641 and continue into town to Gilbert Funeral Home.

Officials will receive approximately one hour’s notice when the procession passes through Dawson Springs. An updated arrival time will be shared as it becomes available.

Community members, businesses, schools, churches and civic organizations are urged to participate and help fill both sides of the roadway along the entire route.

“This tribute offers an opportunity for the county and surrounding communities to stand together in honor of Deputy Coyle’s service and sacrifice,” said Crittenden County Judge-Executive Perry Newcom.

What does the mission of OGT look like in action?

-It looks like celebrating with L.J. and Amber Granstaff when his scans are 🤍CLEAR🤍 after having surgery to remove tonsil cancer. No Fear! Only Faith! We stood with him during his surgery, and now we stand with him praising God for this wonderful outcome.

-It looks like praying for and believing in miracles for a dearly loved School Resource Officer…and totally underestimating the demand for wristbands! We’ve placed 3 additional orders so far! 💙🖤

-It looks like rallying in support of Gloria Walker as she started chemo and then grieving after hearing the news that she had passed away. Her shirts say, “No worries! God got her!” Hopefully her friends and family will take comfort in knowing God truly does have her wrapped in his loving arms! 💟💜

-Finally, it looks like supporting each other during life’s challenges, and you all are THE VERY BEST at doing that!!! If you ordered L. J. shirts, shirts, or SRO Coyle wristbands, our office will be open tomorrow from 10-4 for pick up!

1. FOR LYON AND CALDWELL COUNTY RESIDENTS - Kelly will be available tomorrow, April 13, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Mr. Sandless 301 Vista Drive in Kuttawa.

2. FOR CRITTENDEN COUNTY RESIDENTS - Jacki and Kirk will be available Wednesday, April 15, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church 108 Hillcrest Drive in Marion.

We asked you to support Officer Rick Coyle and his family, and you understood the assignment!!! 🖤💙 We have already placed two additional orders for wristbands, and we will keep them coming as long as needed!

💙🖤If you are from Crittenden County and you commented on our original post BEFORE TODAY, your wristbands are ready!! The first time for pick up is tomorrow, Friday, April 10, from 3:30 to 5:30 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion. We will be set up in the back parking lot.

💙🖤If you are from Caldwell County or Lyon County and ordered before today, Kelly Conway has your wristbands. She will be in contact with you, or you can send her a message.
