Following Georgia’s controversial 2020 presidential election, our upcoming speaker, Derek Somerville, and a colleague with over 35 years of election-data experience, identified over 39,000 votes cast by individuals who were no longer living in the Georgia county where they were registered to vote. Thousands had moved out of state entirely. The final presidential margin in Georgia was just 12,000 votes, making their discovery highly significant. Its accuracy has never been successfully contested.

When Somerville and his colleague attempted to challenge these ineligible votes through proper legal channels with county Boards of Elections, they, along with a small group of others, were sued in federal court by Stacey Abrams’ Fair Fight organization and the same law firm that produced the Clinton campaign’s infamous ‘Steele Dossier’. Abrams’ and her team sought to stop the investigation into voter irregularities by Somerville and his colleagues, and to stop the county Boards of Elections from performing their legal obligations.

After three years of fighting, Somerville and his co-defendants defeated Abrams before an Obama-appointed federal judge. Facing bankruptcy, Abrams was subsequently forced to fire the bulk of Fair Fight’s workforce after accumulating millions in debt.

Join us April 7th, 6:00pm at Majestic House, to hear firsthand about the election irregularities they uncovered, how Abrams and her allies attempted to weaponize federal courts to silence them, and how they fought back and ultimately won.
