It is officially the 2022/23 wrestling season. Sign ups are just around the corner and our first practice will be in mid October. Let’s get ready to dominate this season Toros.

Wrestling is a family, the kids on your team are your brothers and sisters. The kids on the other teams are also like family. You spend all weekend with all these families from your team and all the others. You build relationships with the other parents and kids. You help each other when you can. We are sad to hear of the passing of a young wrestler from the Iron Knights Youth Wrestling Club. His family and his team is in our thoughts and prayers. Hug your athletes.

RIP young man.

Your coach has been looking up team mottos. He finally found one that describes us perfectly. SIc Parvis Magna, Latin for ”Greatness from small beginnings”. We are a small and young team and we will become great. Teams better watch out because we are going to be tough this season.

It's Go Time!!!! First practice is tonight at the Oak Grove Community Center at 5:30PM.

If you haven't been able to purchase wrestling shoes/headgear yet no problem. Have your kids in athletic clothing with tennis shoes and preferably grip socks (like they would wear at the trampoline park). If they don't have grip socks, they can go barefoot on the mat too! Bring water! 90 seconds in a match can feel like 90 minutes if you're out of shape. Time to get to work!

Tennessee State Tournament 2021. Our wrestler is in the black singlet and wins with a cradle pin (sorry it went off camera for a minute, got caught up in the excitement of the moment).

Wanted wrestlers to see the type of crowds they can be wrestling in front of as this gymnasium was packed!

For those new to wrestling:
Each wrestler will be assigned a red or green ankle band at the beginning of each match. Notice the ref with the same colors on his wrists? That's so he can tell the head table who he is assigning points to (the gym can get loud).
