๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Southern Virginia AUSA Chapter Supports the Next Generation of Army Leaders at AUSA 2026! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

What an incredible Day 1 at the 2026 AUSA Annual Meeting and Exposition!

MSG Carrasco, Chapter Vice President and Public Affairs Officer; SFC Campos, Vice President for Programs/Operations; SSG Krauss, Vice President for Soldier and NCO Programs; and Mr. James Vardy, Chapter President, had the distinct pleasure of accompanying Charles City High School JROTC Cadets and their Senior Army Instructor to this yearโ€™s AUSA Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

The cadets had an amazing opportunity to experience the Opening Ceremony and explore the exhibit halls, where they witnessed firsthand the innovation, technology, and capabilities shaping the future of our United States Army! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

The day concluded with an unforgettable experience at the Best Squad Luncheon, where the cadets had the honor of meeting three former Sergeants Major of the Army, along with numerous distinguished military leaders and VIPs. These are the kinds of experiences that inspire our future leaders and create memories that will last a lifetime!

๐Ÿ‘ A special thank-you to MSG Carrasco, SFC Campos, and SSG Krauss, three outstanding Southern Virginia Chapter board members who volunteered their time on a day off to support these JROTC cadets. Your dedication to mentorship, leadership, and service truly represents what AUSA is all about!

At the Southern Virginia Chapter of AUSA, we believe that investing in todayโ€™s youth means investing in tomorrowโ€™s Army leaders.

We had 52 registered participants, with 42 runners taking to the course on a cool but beautiful morning at 5 Fields Brewing Company.

The Southern Virginia Chapter of AUSA sincerely thanks everyone who participated and supported our race. We were especially excited to welcome the Charles City High School JROTC Cadets and their Senior Army Instructor, CW4 (Ret.) Vega.

A very special thank-you goes to our outstanding volunteers who generously gave their time and energy to support this event. Without their hard work and dedication, this race would not have been possible!

We also thank 5 Fields Brewing Company for hosting us and the Tri-Cities Road Runners for providing professional timing and outstanding race support. Their partnership played an important role in making this yearโ€™s event a tremendous success.

Thank you again to everyone who made this race possible. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
