We farm on land that is the homeland of the Munsee Lenape and Mohican/Mahican. Today we want to name that and recognize that this is a relationship we are still learning how to build.

Over the past year, our own Lala Montoya and Tania Hernandez-Martinez have been spending time with Lenni Lenapexkweyok Naxpankuntitam and we are honored to be building relationships with the Lenni Lenape community. We are learning what it means to be land and seed stewards together and learning about living history from them, from the seeds, and from the plants.

We are trying to move at the speed of trust. That means showing up, listening, and letting the relationship set the pace. If you or your organization are working on rematriation, we would love to share resources that we have found useful to support that work. Message us and we’ll share them with you.

We also honor the Indigenous community from Oaxaca who live here in the Hudson Valley and each season we grow Oaxacan blue corn in their honor.

And we know one day on the calendar isn’t enough. We celebrate and honor the people who have cared for this land since long before us, today and all year long.

Chef to Farm to Table is Sunday, November 1, 5-8 pm at Ristorante Caterina de’ Medici at the CIA.

Students in the CIA’s Farm to Table Concentration are creating cocktails, canapes, and four courses with produce from our farm. Swipe through for the full menu.

Two hidden doors are hiding in our education garden.

Lift one and you'll find out how alive the soil beneath us really is. DIRTdoors is a new installation by local artist Emilie Houssart, part of The DIRT Project. It was installed here at the farm for Harvest Fest, but remains indefinitely!

As our Co-Director of Educational Programs, Amanda Henson, puts it: "We want someone to meet a worm for the very first time, or lift a hidden door in the ground and discover how alive the soil beneath us really is."

Bring a friend and see what you find. We're at 51 Vassar Farm Lane in Poughkeepsie.

On sale! Sunday, November 1 at 5 PM, we're teaming up with the Culinary Institute of America for a farm to table dinner at Ristorante Caterina de Medici in Hyde Park.

Every year, CIA students in the Farm-to-Table concentration join our crew in the field. This meal is made with PFP vegetables, some of them harvested by the chefs themselves, plus other local ingredients and b**r brewed on the CIA campus.

Your ticket includes cocktails, canapes, and a four-course meal. Proceeds support PFP and the CIA's Farm to Table program.
