✨ Mission Monday!
Today, we're spotlighting the Culinary Arts Program at Pottstown High School!
Through hands-on learning, students explore everything from basic food preparation and menu planning to catering large-scale events. But this program offers so much more than cooking skills. Students can earn industry-recognized certifications, gain college credit, participate in internships with local businesses, and prepare for careers in the culinary industry.
We're especially grateful for the many ways these talented students have supported the Foundation over the years! From catering A Night at the Races and Celebration of the Arts, their hard work and culinary talents have helped make our events special.
We also want to recognize Chef Steven Irick, who has spent the past nine years with the Pottstown School District helping students discover and develop their culinary skills.
When asked about his favorite part of working with students, he shared:
"My favorite part about working with my students is seeing how they grow as adults and how their cooking skills grow with them."
The Foundation for Pottstown Education is proud to support programs that provide students with hands-on experiences and opportunities to build skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
