On Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center (Hall D), the Montgomery County Commissioners Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will host the inaugural Montgomery County Black Author & Business Expo. This is a free, family-friendly event celebrating Black authors, entrepreneurs, businesses, and community organizations.

In addition to more than 100 vendors, interactive activities, and community resources, we're excited to offer a free bookbag giveaway for students while supplies last, making this a wonderful opportunity for families to prepare for the upcoming school year.

We are pleased to share with you the funding our Foundation supported to the students of Rupert Elementary through the following requests:

· Rupert Elementary 4th Grade Stretcher Adventure’s Low Ropes Course for 75 students

· Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students from Barth, Franklin, Lincoln, and Rupert attending the Pottstown Children’s Discovery Center – 730 students

· Rupert Elementary 3rd Grade Crayola Factory trip – 75 students

· Rupert Kindergarten Legoland trip – 45 students

· Rupert Elementary Art stool replacements

· Rupert Elementary mural project benefiting all students

· Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs for all elementary schools serving Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students – 730 students

· All schools scholarships awarded to 91 students totaling $48,900

These projects enhanced the educational experiences of your students by impacting through hands-on learning experiences, arts enrichment, academic support, career exploration, environmental education, leadership development, and expanded opportunities beyond the classroom.
