Our sweet girl Maya is ready to find a family to call her own. So who has some large breed dog experience that wants one amazing 100 pound pup come live with them 🙂 Maya is 1.5 years old and still a lot of puppy and at 100 pounds and still growing a bit - she is a lot of dog
She came to us after a senior bought her from the breeder and soon realized she was way too much dog for her so she basically just put her outside - so she needed a lot of work on socialization when she came to us but has done great. She is NOT a fan of cats at all and no small dogs as she plays pretty rough as she honestly does not realize her size. In her foster home she has done better with male dogs her size and she will play for hours and hours. She loves her toys for sure but the tougher they are the better or you are going to have a lot of toy stuffing around your house. She is fostered in a home with small kids and she loves them but we would always remind people she is a large dog and still a pup so she gets excited and could knock a small child down - not on purpose at all but in general she adores kids. She bonds quickly with her people and loves to be your shadow - she loves nothing more for you to lay on the floor with her and give her a good belly rub
She is going to be an amazing addition to some very lucky family
She is spayed and has had her stomach tacked (to help prevent bloat) she is current on vaccines, she has had a full bloodwork panel done - she is microchipped, dewormed and current on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
Her adoption fee is $250.00 - if you are interested in adopting Maya - please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications. We do NOT set up any meet and greets until the adoption application has been received and reviewed.
Also a reminder that we do NOT have a facility - all of our dogs are fostered in private foster homes in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.
Lets share this girl and find her the perfect home - oh what a blessing she is going to be to some very lucky family

Meet Winnie. Winne is not with MAJR. She is a Courtesy Post. For more information about Winnie and to meet her contact her owner, Bob at [email protected].

Winnie was born 12/2022 and my wife and I got her on Feb. 14, 2023. Winnie is house broken, up to date on her shots and was just spayed in Feb. She also sleeps in her crate every night from Approx. 11:00 pm to 6:30 am. She loves to play, run in the back yard and bark at the neighbors. Winnie especially loves to go for walks and then take a long nap. She does love to nap and to chew on bones!
Winnie is a “Velcro” dog, and she will most likely want to accompany you to the bathroom. She is mischievous and will steal your socks when you’re are not looking. Winnie is great with kids with kids, she has been around grandchildren 6, 4, and 1 since she came to us. Sadly, one grandchild is very allergic to her, so we must find her a new home where she will be loved as we love her. Winnie weighs about 18-20 pounds.
Our most important concern is that Winnie goes to a great forever home where she will be loved and protected.
For mor information contact Bob at [email protected].

Meet Patches - currently located in PA, available for adoption thru Mid-Atlantic Jack Rescue
Patches is neutered male, approximately 2 years old, and up to date on shots and vetting. Patches came into rescue after his elderly owner passed away. He likely had lots of love, but unfortunately not much
training. Housebroken if left out regularly.
Pros
Very loving
Active
Smart
Will play with other dogs closer to his size
LOVES kids
Cons
Resource guards-severely at times
Can be “stubborn”
Patches would benefit from a home where his person/s are active, walking him daily and working on his
training. His new person should be ready and willing to work through his resource guarding issues. You
should come with experience doing this or the ability to work with a trainer on this issue. Patches will
resource guard his crate, toys, his food, and sometimes the person he is with. Currently he coexists with
4 other dogs ranging in size from 14 pounds to 70 pounds. We have no idea how he is with cats. He also
lives with 2 children, ages 7 and 10. These children are dog savvy, respectful, and never unattended with
Patches. Patches LOVES these kids and will play tug and follow them everywhere they go, both inside
and out.
