It was a great night at Pottstown Rotary! 💙💛

We were excited to welcome Andie Graham and Mike Lehnart from the Borough of Pottstown Parks and Recreation Dept., who shared all the ways they’re working to provide recreation, programs, activities, and opportunities for our community. It was great to hear about everything happening in Pottstown and the work being done to keep our community active, connected, and engaged!

We also celebrated our first new member induction of the new Rotary year as we welcomed Mike Larimer from QNB Bank to the Pottstown Rotary family! 🎉 We’re excited to have him join us and look forward to all the ways he’ll help us continue making a difference in our community.

This week, we're featuring Brian Parkes, Past President of the Pottstown Rotary Club.

When asked what Rotary means to him, Brian shared:

"I joined Rotary to make connections in the community, but I found so much more than a networking/service group. Locally, Rotary is a positive, supportive group of friends dedicated to making a difference in our town. Nationally, Rotary is a powerhouse service organization tackling environmental issue, natural disasters, and much more. Internationally, Rotary has led the charge to eradicate Polio, supply fresh water to remote villages, build schools and hospitals, and thousands of other critical projects. I continue to be proud to be a member of such an incredible organization that makes a difference in so many lives, including my own."

Brian's words remind us that Rotary's impact reaches far beyond our local community while creating meaningful connections right here at home.

Thank you, Brian, for your past year of leadership, service, and dedication to Rotary and the Pottstown community. 💙💛

🎓 We were proud to welcome our Pottstown Rotary Community Endowment Fund scholarship recipient to dinner this week!

Supporting local students as they pursue higher education, whether at a 2- or 4-year college, a vocational school, or Montgomery County Community College, is one of the ways we invest in our community's future.

Scholarship applications are typically available each spring. We look forward to supporting more deserving students next year! 💙💛

Leadership starts with opportunity. 💙

Tonight, we heard from three inspiring students who shared their experiences at Camp Neidig, a summer leadership camp for rising high school seniors. Each of them described the experience as truly life-changing, sharing how it helped them build confidence, collaborate with others, think outside the box, and grow as leaders.
