🎃 One of the best parts of Rotary? The people!

Our club had a blast at our Halloween/Fall Festival party, dressing up, sharing some laughs, and enjoying time together outside of our usual meetings. Another fun time with an amazing group of Rotarians! 👻

In 1985, Rotary launched PolioPlus, the first and largest synchronized global commercial initiative to tackle polio. At that time, the disease paralyzed roughly 350,000 children annually across 125 countries.

Through unrelenting advocacy, the mobilization of more than 20 million volunteers, and nearly $20 billion raised, global polio cases have plummeted by over 99.9%.

🥊 Last night’s Rotary program was both educational and inspiring!

Michael and Lauren Hughes from King St., Kickboxing and Muaythai, shared their knowledge of self-defense and Lauren’s personal story in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

We enjoyed watching their demonstrations and learning how kickboxing and Muay Thai build confidence and teach valuable self-defense skills to women and children.

Thank you, Michael and Lauren, for sharing your story and an enlightening program with our club!

🎃👻 The Pottstown Rotary Club had a spooktacular time at Haunts on High yesterday! 🦇

We loved being part of this fun community tradition, bringing families together for Halloween fun in downtown Pottstown! From costumes and trick-or-treating to all the festive activities along High Street, it was a great day to celebrate our community.

A big thank-you to the organizers, local businesses, volunteers, and everyone who came out to make the 12th annual Haunts on High such a fun event!

Thank you to the Pottstown NAACP for joining us at last night’s meeting and sharing more about the important work they are doing in our community.

We especially enjoyed learning about their Road to Reading program, which provides books to young children throughout Pottstown. Since the program began in October 2023, the Pottstown NAACP reports that 11,000 books have been distributed, working with more than two dozen community partners including the Pottstown School District, Head Start and pre-K classrooms, Family Services, WIC, daycare centers, the YMCA, Community Health & Dental, and others.

Beyond literacy, the Pottstown NAACP is involved in advocacy and community outreach ranging from voter registration and education advocacy to helping local families and supporting efforts for fair and just policing.

We appreciate the opportunity to learn more about their work and the many ways they are making a difference in Pottstown!

What a fantastic day on the course! ⛳☀️

Yesterday’s Pottstown Rotary Community Endowment Fund (PRCEF) Golf Outing was a tremendous success. We were treated to beautiful weather, great company, and a day filled with fun, fellowship, and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and the outstanding staff at Brookside Country Club. Your support, generosity, and hard work made this event possible.

Because of you, we raised funds that will help provide scholarships for local students and grants to organizations making a difference throughout our community.

At its core, the day was about coming together to support the people and organizations that make the Greater Pottstown area such a special place to live, work, and grow. Thank you for helping us invest in our community's future.

✨ Meet the Board: Andrew Ch*****ne ✨

For Andrew Ch*****ne, Rotary is about making a difference while building meaningful connections.

"I joined Rotary because I wanted to give back to the community through meaningful volunteer opportunities while connecting with people who share a commitment to service."

Since becoming a member of Pottstown Rotary, Andrew has seen firsthand the many ways our club invests in the future of our community. Whether it's sending local students to STEM Camp, supporting scholarships and community grants, hosting exchange students, or encouraging young leaders through the Four-Way Test Speech Contest, he is continually inspired by Rotary's impact.

We're grateful for Andrew's dedication to service and proud to have him as part of the Pottstown Rotary family.

🌿✨ Pottstown Rotary in Action! ✨🌿

Today, Pottstown Rotary joined forces with local businesses, organizations, and volunteers for a parking lot cleanup and beautification project. Thanks to donated materials, services, and plenty of helping hands, we were able to make a visible difference in our community.

A special thank you to our Rotary President, Tammy Boyer Vontor, whose idea, leadership, and coordination brought this project to life. We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed their time, talents, goods, and services to make the day a success.

Please support the amazing businesses and organizations tagged in this post. Their commitment to Pottstown helps keep our community looking its best!

💚 Together, we're making Pottstown a little brighter, cleaner, and more beautiful.

✨ Member Spotlight: Robert Ihlein, President-Elect ✨

Robert's Rotary journey began with a simple conversation. In 2017, a retired doctor shared stories about his medical mission trips to Haiti and encouraged him to get involved in something meaningful. He suggested visiting a local Rotary Club.

Today, Rotary's motto, Service Above Self, is a big part of Robert's life. Through the Pottstown Rotary Club, he has built lasting friendships, expanded his professional network, and dedicated time to projects that make a difference in our community.

Now, as our President-Elect, Robert brings a passion for service and a genuine commitment to helping others.

His advice? Come check us out. Rotary rocks! 🔵⚙️
