It is with great sadness and a shattered heart that we have to announce the passing of the best bartender there ever was, Charlie Saylor. Charlie knew more about Holy Trinity and did more for the club than any of us could have ever realized or thanked him for. He was an absolute staple to the club for as long as most of us can remember and was a blessing to have called a friend, colleague and to most of us here, family. He taught most of us everything we know about bartending, people reading and so much more about running the club. He had a funny sarcastic way of showing love but he loved that place even if he wouldn’t tell you he did, he loved when the patrons dressed him up, especially for his birthday and he definitely loved those skill machines! He especially loved seeing his Thursday night crew. The memories will be forever cherished and he will truly, truly be missed. Charlie was a one of a kind guy for sure. We love you Charlie! Due to a growing pattern of hostility &threats from some members, The BOG has voted to close the Club until further notice.
We regret having to take this action, but our priority is the safety and well being of our Bartenders and other members.
It is our hope that this will be temporary.

In 1934 a group of parishioners from Holy Trinity RCC, decided that they wanted a place to gather and socialize on a regular basis. So they decided that they would begin the process of forming their own social club. They petitioned the state to grant them a charter that would allow them to form”Holy Trinity Catholic Club” of Pottstown PA, a nonprofit corporation. In order to have the petition considered, they had to state their mission for the club to exist. The holy Trinity Catholic club was formed and shall continue for the purpose of promoting better fellowship among the members of the holy Trinity Parish. The charter was granted in April 1935. This allowed for them to draft their bylaws and apply for a club liquor license. The license was granted in the holy Trinity club was started.

Unfortunately, in 2004 the archdiocese of Philadelphia made the decision to close our parish . This decision affects the club‘s mission statement. At that time, the club still had a large number of “A” members. For over 20 years, we have worked to do everything we could to keep the club operating. However, the number of “A” members remaining has lowered drastically. Because the parish no longer exist, it is impossible for the number of “A” members to increase.

The PA laws make it very clear, if you can no longer fulfill your mission statement , you no longer qualify as a non profit, which makes you ineligible to renew your club liquor license.

So with Heavy Hearts the HTCC board of Governors, could find no alternative but to seek legal council and adopt a Resolution of Voluntary Dissolution of HTCC. Our current license expires on April 30, 2026 at midnight. At that time we will have to close our doors.
We appreciate all our Members & especially our Bartenders!!We are planning events in the next few weeks to show our appreciation, they will be listed on the board at the club.(dates, times, etc)On April 30th it will be members only, the club must be vacatated by midnight that night. 💔💔
