The Propeller Club, Port of Norfolk The Propeller Club Port of Norfolk has over 260 members from all facets of the maritime transportation and logistics fields.

The Club sponsors several monthly luncheon meeting throughout the winter season. Its primary fund raising events are the well known Propeller Club Oyster Roasts held in October and April each year. The Club also organizes south Hampton Road's annual Maritime Day celebration.

⚓ A few starter highlights from our visit aboard the Capitán Miranda!

As part of Sail250 Virginia, the Norfolk Propeller Club had the distinct honor of adopting the , the renowned sail training vessel of the Uruguayan Navy, representing the beautiful nation of Uruguay.

We were especially grateful for the opportunity to receive a private tour of this remarkable ship, learn more about her history and mission, and experience firsthand the maritime traditions she proudly carries around the world.

These photos are just a small glimpse into an unforgettable visit and the friendships formed during Sail 250.

Thank you to the crew of the Capitán Miranda for your hospitality, and thank you to Norfolk Festevents for bringing together an incredible celebration of maritime heritage. Events of this scale are only possible through the dedication, teamwork, and camaraderie of countless partners and volunteers.

Two weeks ago, we were proud to celebrate National Maritime Day alongside so many colleagues, partners, and friends from across the maritime community. ⚓ After sharing photos from the golf outing that kicked off the festivities, we're excited to share the first round of highlights from the main event.

This celebration would not have been possible without the incredible support of our sponsors and the many industry professionals who joined us. We were especially pleased to recognize Mason Keeter as the recipient of the Maritime Industry Service Award. His dedication and contributions to the maritime industry exemplify the leadership and commitment that continue to move our industry forward. 🙌

Two weeks later, and we're still talking about what an incredible day we had at the National Maritime Day Golf Classic! 🎉

We know this recap took a little longer than usual, but with so many amazing photos and memorable moments to choose from, we wanted to take our time and share some of the best highlights from a truly outstanding event. 🙌

From the first tee shot to the final raffle drawing, the day was filled with great golf, great networking, and even better company. Our sponsors went above and beyond with incredible hospitality tents featuring everything from delicious carne asada tacos to specialty cocktails that kept players refreshed throughout the day. The AR Golf Gun brought plenty of excitement and laughs, and the raffle prizes kept everyone engaged right up to the very end.

A huge congratulations to our Grand Raffle Prize winner, Brian Langley, who rode away with an incredible E-bike! We also want to extend a special thank you to Conte's Bike Shop for partnering with the Club and helping us provide such an amazing grand prize. Your support helped make this year's event even more memorable. 🚲

Most importantly, thank you to every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this year's National Maritime Day Golf Classic such a tremendous success. Events like these are only possible because of the strength and generosity of our maritime community.

The response to the Inaugural National Maritime Day Golf Classic exceeded our expectations, and we're excited to share that planning for next year's event is already underway. If this year's success is any indication, 2027 is going to be bigger and better than ever.

National Maritime Day honors the men and women of the U.S. maritime industry and recognizes the vital role maritime transportation plays in our nation’s economy, security, and global connectivity.
