One month until Farm-a-Q!
We are so grateful to be able to continue celebrating this special day at the beloved Tuckaway Farm in Lee, NH, on June 23rd.
Many of you may have heard about the devastating fire that ripped through Tuckaway farm on March 30. Significant infrastructure, including hand built barns, equipment, supplies, and livestock were lost. In the wake of this, there has been tremendous community support for Tuckaway to rebuild and continue farming. In their resilience, they are excited to continue to host Farm-a-Q as a place to gather and celebrate local food, farms, and community.
Heritage Harvest Project first held Farm-a-Q at Tuckaway Farm in 2012, and again in 2019, just before the community had to take a long break from social gatherings due to Covid. In 2022 and 2023 we were able to come back together at Tuckaway, and we are so excited to return again this year. We cannot think of a better location to uphold our mission and values, the Cox family have been a constant support to our organization since the beginning, even donating land on their farm to the Heritage Harvest Project gardens. Community anchors our work, and supporting one another is a great way to move us all forward.
From Sarah Cox:
“Our community has been so generous and proven an incredibly powerful support system for the Tuckaway farm and family. We are still a ways away from knowing what full recovery will look like for Tuckaway’s farming operation. Ongoing support is so helpful and we thank everyone for their continued support.”
