Sneak a peek of The Art of Looking 👀 Local artist Kimberley Harding has created unique frames out of natural materials and displayed them along the PATHS Trail. Each frame highlights a unique feature and invites the viewer to take a closer look at the world around them 🖼️

Last Saturday, 90 Guster fans spent the day giving back here in Portland, putting in 180 hours of service with 3 local organizations.

At the Preble Street Food Security Hub, 26 volunteers peeled, sliced, and cinnamon-sugared 500 apples to be dried/preserved and picked 70+ lbs of basil to be made into pesto.

With Portland Trails, 23 volunteers pruned 1/4 mile of overgrown vegetation and moved 9 yards of stone dust to surface the trail.

At East End Beach, 41 volunteers collected 121+ lbs of trash with Surfrider Foundation.

90 volunteers. 180 hours. A whole lot accomplished in 1 morning.

Thank you to every Guster fan who spent part of Guster On The Ocean giving back to Portland, and to the organizations who welcomed us and put us to work. We loved spending the morning with you! Till next time ✌️

Our friend Dan Bassett, Deputy Director of Bicycle Coalition of Maine, is a nominee for the League of American Cyclists board of directors! He’s a passionate advocate for cyclists and pedestrians — and you can vote for him! All you have to do to be eligible is become a League of American Bicyclists member or renew your membership by August 9th. Voting starts on the 10th!

Gabe made a friend! 🐢 Our Trail Stewardship Coordinator Gabe has a knack for spotting critters whenever he’s out on the trails. He found this guy chillin in the Stroudwater River last week! Not a bad place to spend a warm summer day.

Next time you’re enjoying one of our trails, slow down and look closely. You might find a new friend, too! (Although, as always, leave them be!)
