The Volunteer Way The Volunteer Way is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, faith-based, charitable organization Our mission is to assist people caught in poverty.

We distribute over 7 million pounds of food every year to food pantries, soup kitchens, residential programs, seniors, homeless people, families, and other charitable organizations. We also help other Pasco county charities with food, personal items and medical equipment, as they have limitless needs.

The Volunteer Way is proud to partner with OneBlood for an upcoming Blood Drive! ❤️

📅 Friday, September 4
⏰ 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Every 2 seconds, someone needs blood. In fact, 1 in 3 people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime. Yet, only about 3% of eligible people donate.

Your donation can make an incredible difference — ONE donation can help save up to 3 lives within 72 hours! 🙌

❤️ Benefits of donating include:
• FREE health screening for every donor
• Learn your blood type within days — the only FREE way to find out your blood type
• Your blood is tested for infectious diseases, which may help identify hidden health concerns
• Donating can help balance iron levels for those with excess iron
• Stimulates new blood cell production
• Burns extra calories
• Helps maintain a healthy blood supply for our community

Who can donate?
🩸 Eligible donors can be 16 years and older (with no upper age limit as long as they pass the wellness check).
💊 Taking prescription medications does not automatically disqualify you.
✨ If you recently received a tattoo or piercing from a professional, you may be eligible to donate after 3 weeks.

This was such a wonderful event honoring Fred Kojzar, a true American hero.

After Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton caused significant damage to Fred's home in 2024, our community came together to help him rebuild. Fred proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and it was an honor to be part of giving back to someone who has given so much to our country.

Through the incredible partnership between The Volunteer Way, Rebuilding Together Greater Florida, USAA, the American Red Cross, and so many other amazing organizations and volunteers, we were able to help restore not only Fred's home, but also provide hope for the future.

A special thank you to Commissioner Jack Mariano for joining us and for his continued support of our community and local veterans. Your dedication to helping those in need is truly appreciated.

Seeing our community unite for such an inspiring cause is a reminder of what can be accomplished when we work together. Thank you to everyone who donated their time, resources, and compassion to help Fred continue living his best life after the devastation of the hurricanes.

🎒✨ A Wonderful Day of Community at Hudson High School! ✨🎒

This past Saturday, The Volunteer Way was honored to participate in Premier's Back-to-School Event held at Hudson High School!

We had a fantastic time meeting so many amazing students and families as they prepared for the upcoming school year. Our team was proud to hand out toys and share information about the resources and programs The Volunteer Way offers to our community.

A huge thank you to Premier for organizing such a wonderful event and to all of the incredible organizations that came together to support local families by providing school supplies, valuable resources, and helpful information. It was inspiring to see our community unite to help students start the school year on the right foot.

We wish all of our students a safe, successful, and exciting school year! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello—we can't wait to see you again at our next community event! 💙📚

🚗💙 Car Wash for a Cause Update 💙🚗

It is with disappointment that we have to announce the cancellation of our Car Wash for a Cause event.

We were notified by Pasco County that, due to the current Water Ban, we are unable to move forward with the event at this time. While we were looking forward to seeing everyone and raising funds for our mission, we understand the importance of doing our part to help conserve water.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and continued support of The Volunteer Way.

Please stay tuned to our page for updates. We will announce a new fundraising event as soon as possible and hope you'll join us then!
