The Need Is Greater Than Ever — Time to Help Is NOW! 🎒
The McDowell Foundation is preparing for our 6th Annual Back to School Bash, and we are asking our community to step up and help us make this year our biggest and most impactful event yet.
For the past 5 years, this event has brought families, businesses, schools, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and community organizations together for one purpose: helping local students start the school year prepared, confident, and supported.
Over the years, with the help of our amazing community, we have been able to provide:
🎒 Backpacks for local students
✏️ School supplies for families in need
🏫 Community resources from local organizations
🍔 Food, activities, and family fun
🤝 Support from local businesses, nonprofits, schools, churches, vendors, volunteers, and public safety partners
💙 Encouragement for children who deserve a strong start to the school year
Each year, the Bash has grown because our community has shown up. We have had support from local businesses, schools, vendors, resource groups, law enforcement, youth programs, food partners, sponsors, and families who believe in giving back.
But this year, the need is greater than ever.
Families are facing higher costs for backpacks, supplies, clothing, food, and everyday needs. For many parents, back-to-school season is stressful — and a simple backpack filled with supplies can make a huge difference.
That is why we are asking for help right now.
We are currently accepting donations of:
🎒 New backpacks
✏️ School supplies
📓 Notebooks, folders, paper, binders
🖍️ Crayons, markers, pencils, pens
🎁 Raffle items and giveaways
💳 Gift cards
💰 Sponsorship donations
🤝 Vendor and community partner support
Whether you donate one backpack, sponsor multiple students, provide raffle items, set up a booth, or simply share this post — you are helping local children walk into school with confidence.

The McDowell Foundation’s 6th Annual Back to School Bash is coming up, and families who need a backpack for their child should register online.

Important Registration Rules:

Backpacks are intended for students who will be attending school.

Each child receiving a backpack must be registered with grade selected!

Backpacks and supplies are limited and will be provided while supplies last.

Registration does not guarantee a backpack unless supplies are available.

Children should be present at the event to receive their backpack..

Please only register if you plan to attend, so we can serve as many families as possible.

The McDowell Foundation is proud to welcome the Pasco Sheriff's Office to our 6th Annual Back to School Bash!

We are excited to share that the Pasco Sheriff’s Office plans to join us with an incredible community display, including their 5-Ton Rescue Truck, Therapy Dog, Robo Dog, drones, and a booth with information about the Explorer Program.

This will be a great opportunity for families and students to meet local deputies, learn more about public safety, explore career and youth leadership opportunities, and see some amazing equipment up close.

Please note: These special resources are expected to attend as long as they are available that day and not needed for an emergency response.

We are thankful for the Pasco Sheriff’s Office and their continued commitment to supporting families, students, and our community.

🚀 Exciting Announcement for the 6th Annual Back to School Bash!

The McDowell Foundation is proud to welcome Ultimate 3D Printing Store to this year’s Back to School Bash!

They will be setting up a special display and live demo area where families and students can see 3D printers in action and learn how this technology is helping inspire the next generation of creators, builders, engineers, and problem-solvers.

This is more than just a cool display — it’s a chance to introduce kids to STEM education, hands-on learning, and the future of technology.
