A heartfelt thank you to Strawberry Fields, Inc. residents Jeffrey and Donald for their hard work and generosity in creating Jared Boxes for the children in our local hospitals. Wow, 50 Jared Boxes, 50 Smiles!

Strawberry Fields’ mission is to empower individuals and enrich lives by creating opportunities, providing support, and helping people with disabilities and mental health challenges live with dignity, independence, and a sense of belonging. Through acts of kindness like this, Jeffrey and Donald are making a meaningful difference in our community while demonstrating the spirit of service that Strawberry Fields embodies.

“Thank you so much for cheering up my 3-year-old son, Waylon, with this Jared Box. He absolutely loved it while waiting to go back for surgery at Geisinger Gray’s Woods in State College, PA. Here are some cute pictures of him playing with everything from the box. He even named the pterodactyl “Buzz.” We absolutely loved the box idea! It definitely helped keep my son from being nervous and made him smile.”

The Jared Box Project in Annapolis!

“This Jared Box really made our unexpected ER trip so much brighter. My daughter was having a hard time waiting to learn she needed stitches in her lip, but she came home with her new favorite stuffy and a great story to tell. Thank you for making such a tough experience much sweeter. She received her Jared Box at the Anne Arundel Medical Center Pediatric Emergency Room here in Annapolis, Maryland. I’m also happy to report that she got her stitch out last night just in time for her preschool graduation! Thank you again for everything and for blessing our girl. You truly run a lovely program.”
