Charles William Melillo Scholarship Fund

Charles William Melillo Scholarship Fund The Charles William Melillo Scholarship Fund exists to celebrate the life and legacy of our beloved son, brother, friend, Captain, and EMT Charlie Melillo.

On October 21st, 2012 our community lost an amazing person whose presence is sorely missed. At the young age of 27, Charlie Melillo passed away of injuries sustained in a helmet-to-helmet collision while playing Semi-Pro football with the Westchester Vengeance. Charlie served his community as Captain of the Harry Howard Hook & Ladder Company of the Port Chester Fire Department and EMT for Harrison

and Empress EMS. The scholarship fund works to celebrate his uplifting character and leadership values by organizing community events, such as the Annual Chucky Classic Softball Tournament, and various fundraising initiatives that culminate in the annual award of a scholarship to a Port Chester High School student looking to pursue further education in the field of medicine.
